In my opinion, Hyundai have done themselves a complete disservice renaming the SR to N line AND making the N-line look SO similar to the N.They have diluted the N brand significantly.
A lot of non-car buyers ( you know what I mean ) that may have considered an N in DCT mode later this year, will now be able to buy an “almost” N car with DCT now. 95% of those buyers will not be able to tell the difference performance, braking and handling wise driving the car to and from work in the city, so why spend $12-15k more for an N.
Unlike most -line cars, like the R, S and ST line, the N-line i30 actually has a much better engine than the standard i30, with 150kw, which makes it much closer to the N, and therefore more likely to cannabilize sales from the N. Reduced sales means less profit, less r and d, and less of a rush to bring out new N product...
