aFe received and online. For those wondering if you can join the Forge Motorsports Turbo Inlet Pipe to the aFe Takeda intake, it will take a 3" into 3" ID 90 degree Silicone Elbow :D

I believe so as well. It's certainly an added bonus.

The addition of the oval and square bushings will keep the unit from vibrating in a 360 degree motion. So you're transferring the torque without losing it to adverse up/down or back/front movement.

I'm actually pretty stoked about it!. Gong on shortly!:D

Yes, I believe so. There is nothing to stop the Boomba and SXTH mounts from moving up and down. They utilizes a round bushings at both attachment points. So, both are free to swivel on a circular axis. This^, simply allows more of the torque to transmit into up and down movement. Hence move NVH & wheel hop, in my opinion.

The TTR mount doesn't swivel. It's mounted solid on the rear mounting point. So It's remains static and straight. Combined with the upper mount, it will simply move forward/back with much less force.

I'll know for sure, when I get it out on the road.:) Setting still in the garage reving the motor, there's no appreciable increase in vibration. Just;

Are you 100% sure that 90-degrees 3” silicone hose will make the job? At least for me it looks like I should choose 67-degrees 3” hose.
Anyway, I will wait with my silicone hose order a bit to see what will be your result with 90-degrees hose.

From what I can tell only a 90 degree will work with the Forge Motorsports cnc'd Flange. The Forge Turbo inlet & Intake Tube utilizes a 90 degree silicone 3"(turbo inlet flange) x 4" ( intake tube.) So it reasonable to say, if you're mating the Forge 3" Forge Flange to the aFe turbo intake end, it will take the same 90 @ 3" X 3" 4 ply to couple with the aFe Takeda.🙂

The aFe Takeda Intake OD from the Filter is 4". On the other end, the turbo inlet it 3" OD.

I do know, the crappy little silicone coupler tube aFe to mate to the OEM turbo inlet side, isn't going to cut it.:rolleyes: You need a 4 ply coupler to the job properly and hold up to the heat.
