Seem like they just removed the front air funnel thing that is on their original for the i30N. Do you know if that will be added back in the final production?

To answer your question; It was omitted and for this installation. I doubt it will be added back to the VN FMIC production. However, a final decision hasn't been made as of this date. This will be up to the final install, photos and additional information I'll provide to Forge Motorsport.
It may enter into the discussion at some point but it's not something that is actually needed, based upon the VN's front inlet design.

A bored or larger throttle body delivers air at a higher rate than a stock throttle body. It will boost overall horsepower & torque from 5 to 10% over the OEM unit. Allowing for, quicker throttle response and acceleration.
I've done this along with adding TB and intake phenolic spacers on every car or motorcycle I've owned. It's an inexpensive way to gain both hp and torque, along with the upgraded intake manifold, downpipe and aftermarket exhaust.
There's no requirement to tune the ECU for this particular upgrade. The stock OEM ECU will adapt with in the current OEM parameters, (A/F tables and maps).
However, proper ECU tuning will always enhance and provide optimal gains with all modifications.
I've done this along with adding TB and intake phenolic spacers on every car or motorcycle I've owned. It's an inexpensive way to gain both hp and torque, along with the upgraded intake manifold, downpipe and aftermarket exhaust.

I don't know at the moment. Haven't dynoed the car since it was stock. When I'm finish the upgrades, I'll tune and compare the dyno results. As a guess, somewhere around 285-290 whp give or take.
I'm not in a hurry. There's always plenty of time and I enjoy the work. I tend to be a bit more meticulous with such things. It comes from years of working on; reciprocating & jet aircraft, racing motorcycles and the cars I've owned.

Time for a comparison and see which one I like the best.
Was just watching a video of the intercooler install and I just noticed without the air guide the slot for relocating the sensor is no longer there as well. Hope you mention that since I recall the current sensor location bracket needs to be removed and relocated to the intercooler (current version). Also ready to buy Forge intercooler as well, just waiting to see if I want to get the current version (take advantage of the free shipping) or wait for the updated version
That's true! I forgot Forge USA is closed until the 9th or further notice...Have you had a chance to test the new intercooler?
Almost done with the install.
I had to answer a ton of PM's this morning which reset my priorities. Members are friends and I like to answer their questions promptly and I try to accommodate as quickly as possible. Might save some aggravation or frustration for them. It also gives me a break to either rethink or readjust my approach on the install.
I'm never in a hurry with my install or allow frustration or aggravation to ruin a good install. Rather walk away and take a breather. So, answering questions from friends and forum members takes priority.
