Oh nice can't wait to hear your input and see pics when ready. I am the same way when it comes to install. I like to take my time and make sure I have all the tools I need before hand or just take a break and find a different way to approaching the install if I get stuck.

I also like to take pictures during my install just to document things.

Another little addition on the way;:D

For those with inquires about the aFe Takeda Intake tube mating with the Forge Motorsport Turbo Intake Kit. I already know the CNC'd Forge Turbo Adapter will fit this pipe.

Near perfect fit for the 3"x 3", 4 ply 90 with 3" legs. I just need to install it to make sure I don't need the extra inch for clearance. Don't believe so, the actual aFe intake pipe is smaller in diameter to the Forge Motorsport 4" pipe. I don't believe it will require the added but I'm still going to make sure.

Perfect thanks! Is the 3x3 hose from eBay, amazon or pegasusautoracing?

You can purchase it at a number of locations ,these^ being just a few. just make sure it a 4 ply hose. Stand by though, I'll let those interested know for sure if the 3" legs are acceptable over the 4" legs.

Also, Red do you use the Cerma manual transmission treatment? Is it safe for yellow metals and synchro's? Thanks in advance.

Yes, 6" legs. I'm not sure how much I am going to cut. I am going to just measure it when I go tackle the job. I will use a metal clamp and tighten it on the tube and use the clamp line as a template. I'd imagine 1.5" to 2" on each side but I'll just have to wait and see.

I will tell ya with the new AFe in it pulls a lot better till redline. Yesterday I bounced off the rev limiter on accident and it cut power. Ooops..... Gotta pay more attention now, that's for sure. lol...

lol... I was! Just a wee bit... I had to go to the post office to ship some things and while I was out I had a little fun. Being cooped up for over a week, just had to spread the wings a little. Ha, ha....

Also, I contacted Cerma (already run thier engine treatment) about sulfur in their product because it;s not good for yellow metals. I haven't heard back from them yet, but if it's ok I am going to use it when I switch the trans. fluid to RedLine MT-LV. Waiting for their answer and a couple of new crush washers before I do the job.

I love that SoCal Garage is now selling the carbon rear diffuser at a reasonable price! Perhaps they will start selling their own carbon fiber engine covers soon?

The best prices carbon bits seem to be the steering wheel, the hood, and the wing. Everything else they offer seems super pricey which sucks because its gorgeous. Their carbon interior kit is 1600 ffs! Damn you socal for being so tempting

I honestly think SoCal carbon fiber parts are over priced because its not 100% carbon fiber. It is an overlay to the OEM parts, basically a wrap of real carbon fiber and then epoxy resin over the OEM part. For the price they are charging on some of them it should be 100% all carbon fiber to me

What you're referring to is.; Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic and possibly Hydro Dipped Carbon Fiber Finish. I don't really know for sure at this point. I can see they're utilizing OEM parts to create any moldings and not varying from the standard dimensions.

I going to be fair to SC Garage and ask them to explain what process they're utilizing. I'll talk to them tomorrow.

Now I've purchased quite a bit of CF for both motorcycles and cars before. I can tell you for certain, it's considerably more for molded CF parts half the size. I'm going to reserve any further discussion and opinion until I find out for sure. :)

It think personally it looks good!:)
