A yep and meanwhile the aFe Takeda downpipe is on sale at $736.31 and the exhaust is; $1,054.20 BLK, $993.72 for the Stainless Steel.
That’s a good price. I was planning on going custom but damn is that Borla setup sexy . I was thinking of maybe getting a custom 3 inch mid pipe fabbed up Incase the catted downpipe I was forced to buy is too quiet. Thank you again EPA....

Ive always been a fan of big tips ;)lmao. And tbh I’m starting to feel like I should’ve just told SXTH to give me the refund when I had the chance. Instead of just saying screw it I’ll take the high flow cat upgrade and wait it out. I’m a very patient man but we’re going on almost 5 months since preorder and I still have no official delivery date.

Reasonable delays are acceptable but beyond this the customer isn't at the behest of the manufacturer. In the end, it's up to them to provide what they've advertised in a reasonable amount of time or refund customers monies.

Chris, you have the option to do what you choose, it's your money. At this point you're not obligated in anyway. There is a law in the US, that requires a manufacturer to provide pre-ordered products in a reasonable amount of time. IMO almost five months of waiting is not reasonable, by any stretch of the imagination.

Also, keep in mind, one of the SXTH Element employees is visiting this forum to review comments fairly regularly.

I truly hope everything works out for others and yourself who are waiting.

I feel like at this point it’s almost worth waiting for.. what’s one more month right..? As long as the quality is top notch and it does what’s advertised I’ll be happy and just take this as a learning curve.. don’t preorder from SXTH lol. Sorry venting here guys as mentioned I’m not one to complain but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit frustrated.

Its especially frustrating that they dont communicate with us and it seems like the only information i get is the occasional Instagram update. Im only waiting because it still seems like the highest quality option out there right now. The afe is the only other alternative that looks comparable.

hey R Veloster N Do you have that catback system? I was really leaning towards this one with black tips but I read in another forum that some guy was having issues with the valve rattling and some fitment issues and what not, I know that might just be his product but if I can wait for another catback system to come out to compare prices I would. If you do have that system how is it for you? I also hear it was heavier than the stock exhaust?

This ^. It’s one thing to have delays but this is beyond normal at this point. If this wasn’t a small mom and pop shop I’d be looking for a bigger discount or something for being so patient. Because in reality I gained nothing by preordering this product. I figured by preordering I’d be getting a deep discount for my patience. But since then they’ve run several sales which have pretty much matched the price that I paid months ago. And even right now they’re offering 20% off of orders of 1k for tax season. The one thing they have done right is comp the increase in price for the cat since they no longer offer a catless down pipe. But as mentioned before I will think twice about preordering anything from them.

It's your choice Chris, you have a right to do what you choose. It's your money and time.

One of the reasons I don't normally do pre-orders is; small manufactures don't have the ready cash upfront to start production. They tie up your dollars In hopes to get enough money to pay for the parts and materials, in a effort to actually begin the product manufacturing. I don't play that game, not unless I'm the one they're utilizing as a test bed.

Its especially frustrating that they don't communicate with us and it seems like the only information i get is the occasional Instagram update. I'm only waiting because it still seems like the highest quality option out there right now. The afe is the only other alternative that looks comparable.
This is another issue. When a parts manufacturer doesn't update it's specific pre-order customers with their progress to delivery, it becomes a frustration and an unnecessary burden to those specific customers.

If you can't deliver as promised, you offer a refund to the customer and let them decide. If you have to take it in the shorts, that's business. Offering a reduced cost is fine but when it's available to everyone, not so much. Where's the incentive for a pre-order customer to be patient and wait, if it's offered to everyone?

I understand SXTH Element has had some setbacks with parts delivery and then having to wait. It's part of business. However, communication with customers is KING in all issues! Not everyone has an instagram or facebook account. It only takes one blanket email to update all present customers. If you get caught with your pants down, you pull them up and do what needs to be done.

This compared to that;

aFe Takeda; $736.31
MSRP: $1,062.50
48-37005-hc_1.1581123635.jpg

SXTH Element; Pre-Order Bonanza!; $899.00 wo/heat shield/$849.00
Our Price: $1,099.0042C7182A-9526-45C9-9B8E-6FFFC5FBD253 (1).jpeg
Take your pick but I just don't see much difference other than cost, even without the SXTH heat shield!:)

@CHRIZ619 Not yet but I'm patient enough to wait and see what transpires with products and owners comments. Yes, I'm leaning towards a purchase of their entire exhaust. I already have the aFe Takeda intake on order, thru SC Garage. I also have the Forge Motorsports entire Intake system on my VN. I'm actually quite impressed with it, along w/use of the Velossa Tech Snorkel. :D

I tend to be a bit methodical with products and purchases. I like everything to work well together, with minimal issues. I also have a plan for the car so, I'm not in a hurry just to throw money at it. Most owners are utilizing the VN as a daily, I don't need to ,so I have plenty of time to do what I choose. It's a project car, with enjoyment in mind from the build to actual use.

There will always be issues with new products to some extent. This is why manufactures have warranties for their products. Fitment issues are generally determined by how the unit was installed or fitted by the owner.

Are the issue possible, sure. Is it likely the due to the manufacturer not doing their diligence, sometimes but most of the time, no. However keep in perspective, nothing's perfect. This is only one instance from many purchases.

I don't know all of the particulars regarding the issue you've specified. I'd be willing contact the individual openly to uncover any possible problems from either angle. Please, PM me the link to the thread and I'll make a direct inquiry with the owner.

Unless I personally approach the individual , ask the necessary questions to uncover the causes, I'd be merely speculating. Rather not do that and give a full view of the actual issue/s.:)

Wow that is a big mother sucker. curious how this will effect turbo lag, and efficiency of the radiator since it’s literally taking up the whole grille !

I Wonder if this seller will be able to get his hands on the rest of the alcantara parts. Would love to spice up my interior with original Hyundai parts made out of alcantara!
