Good morning. Today is a good day to go drifting hehe..

Finished the power connection to the subwoofer today, it's dying to receive sound but that'll have to wait.
Luckily for me this sub is not super hungry so I can feed it from the rear power socket in the boot. Removed the trim on the right side where the socket is located with a 10mm socket (if I remember correctly), hacked into the wires and voila!
Dressed it up with some insulating fabric tape for *cough* OEM points:
Feeded the wires to the only place I could find (which turned out to be ok):
Took about an hour and I'm really happy with it. Tied it down and that's the finished product:

Today the subwoofer saga continues. I've taken half the car's covers apart, starting from the front passenger door. The plan was to connect the subwoofer to the front speakers, so, like with the power connection before:
Tapped into the front speaker and wrapped it OEMish style for even more points:
Then feeded the cable all the way to the back:
At this point the cable goes under the back seat and behind the back of the seats:
Exactly the same process takes place on the other side. I have to say, the difference is brutal, the sub is overpowering the speakers even at 20% of its volume. Very very pleased with results, and even at high volume, no edible rattles or distortion in the car.
Next step is to change the door speakers.. some time soon, hopefully..

A colleague yesterday at work was pretty interested in finding out how loud this sub is and what the vibrations are like inside and outside the car, because he wants to put one in his as well. He gave me his USB stick and we played a couple of heavy bass songs after work..
As we were talking outside the car for a few seconds I realised that this thing is really good isolated. Outside the sound and the vibrations from inside are almost non existent, and really really quiet even when in the car the volume is at club levels!! This quite surprised me to be honest, didn't expect it at all.
The loudest vibrations, come from the spoiler, and the taillights. When I press them down with my hand, even slightly, they stop.

except of that Spoiler thing. Maybe because I refitted mine long time ago A subwoofer on the N (nearly no matter what size) is a big big upgrade for the whole car.

All in all, i like that chrome design on black cars! But i dont know if I would do that to a non-black car

So, I had some spare time today, and I filmed a short drive for all those interested in watching. This is more focused on sound, and I tried my best to mount the 10 dallarz action camera somewhere so that the cluster remains visible, so, apologies for the weird angle. The road was a bit damp and I had to be a bit cautious but N sticks on the road like gum does on hair. I realised after watching it that it looks really slow on camera... and in reality it is. Very, very slow. Don't pay attention to the speedometer, it lies.
4000 km so far, and I still get really excited every time I go out in it.. Sounds great, drives great, worth every damn penny.

still can't get the grin off my face every time I accelerate.Also had my first fun ride on the snow this week, even though it is front wheel drive, the handbrake does it's magic once all controls are off

I haven't noticed any difference to be honest. It's been consistent so far, for the last 4.500km. I don't believe it'll change though, there's no reason or logic behind that, but only time will tell!
