Suspension and Chassis Mando ECS10: I30N owners might be interested!

Not that I know of DHL, UPS, FedEx and USPS are working everyday. Deliver drivers are complaining, as they are being inundated with more package delivers, then during the Christmas.

They're getting paid and actually want to be off because of the Wuhan Virus. Give me a break!! Monkey see , monkey do!!😂

Not really sure if its directly related to DHL. Could also be customs or something else. National packages which I returned were delivered as per schedule, so not really sure. Maybe it's just a tracking error as well. DHL is somewhat knows for their bad tracking...

Yes sir, DHL is bad for tracking updates.:)

Hello, I have this module since it was put on sale, surely the first i30 N, I had no connection problems (firmware 1.0), what difference does it have with 2.0?

When updating the smartphone, I realized that it needs some kind of online permission for it to work.

PS: my i30N is from 2017, maybe that has some importance

Ha! that's interesting. My N is a MY19 one, so it could well be that this is part of the cause. However I also gave it full data permissions, so on my part this wouldn't have caused an issue. This is an interesting turn of events :D

I am very happy with the module within the limited use that currently exists, the only problem is that the logic of reconnection with the application does not seem to work well, that for me is not a problem, it seems that it saves the last configuration that was necessary (always I use everything in soft, I have h & r springs, H&R stabilizers, cambert and semi slick mounting ... it is very difficult every day), thanks to this module daily use is very pleasant.

I just installed the module and it is connecting, seeing my car as i30N and I can apply changes without getting errors. Seems to work!

I'm now going to tidy up everything and go out for a testdrive later on! :)

One question I have: does the module overrule the mode buttons? So for example I put the Mando module in comfort, but later I go into N mode through the car itself, does the Mando module overrules the car modes? I bet it does, but just to be sure. :)

No, it has module modes plus driving modes at the same time, you can switch from smooth mode to N mode with one click.

but this means if you set everything to comfort in the app, you are essentially using one of the ECS-Custom Modes, right? If you then switch to N-Mode using the steering wheel button, it will leave the ECS-Custom-Mode and switch to N, right?
How are you handling this during daily driving? I mean if you press the N button by mistake, you need the app to go back to your ECS-Custom-Mode, right?

Errrr, that's a bummer. So if I configure the ECS module into soft and I press the N button on the steering wheel, it goes to N suspension settings. If I then press Normal mode on the steering wheel it goes to Normal but I then have to load the soft map again in the ECS app.... if it works the way you say?

I hoped the ECS module overruled all suspension settings in the regular Hyundai modes.

Note my little experience with the module, but it seems to be so.

If I press N mode, I go to the app and load the soft map, in my case it is not feasible to switch to N mode in the city, although N and custom mode can be carried with a smooth map of ecs.

I have tried soft ecs and go to N mode, the suspension hardens clearly, I have not tested whether going back to normal mode restores soft ecs mode.

if you could test this out, this would be really helpful!

The information I have right now states, that the module has three ECS10-driving modes (non-customizable) and the ECS10 custom modes (fully customizable). When you press the buttons on the steering wheel it only works with the ECS10-driving modes. You have to use the app to run the ECS10 custom modes.
The ECS10 driving modes are essentially the stock Hyundai modes (Standard, Sport, Sport+) but with small enhancements made by Mando themselves.

Is that about right?

I just tested the module, and I think what you are saying is right.

If I put it in N mode on the steering wheel, I immediately felt a whole lot less stiffer ride than it was before the module. So it seems the ECS module adjust the stock comfort / sport en N mode suspension maps.

If I put everything on softest setting in the custom mode, the ride is even more pleasant!

Difference is very noticeable! The sharp edge is off and it feels more like how my Clubsport felt. Very cool gadget! Love it!

Only thing it lacks is making the automatic connection within the app. Have to manually connect.
