Suspension and Chassis Mando ECS10: I30N owners might be interested!

I just tested the module, and I think what you are saying is right.

If I put it in N mode on the steering wheel, I immediately felt a whole lot less stiffer ride than it was before the module. So it seems the ECS module adjust the stock comfort / sport en N mode suspension maps.

If I put everything on softest setting in the custom mode, the ride is even more pleasant!

Difference is very noticeable! The sharp edge is off and it feels more like how my Clubsport felt. Very cool gadget! Love it!

Only thing it lacks is making the automatic connection within the app. Have to manually connect.

What firmware are you using? Clearly in my case (firmware 1.0) it always obeys the command I gave it, either through the app (ecs) or the steering wheel button, custom mode switches to N mode, suspension becomes hard, does not retain ecs option.

if you could test this out, this would be really helpful!

The information I have right now states, that the module has three ECS10-driving modes (non-customizable) and the ECS10 custom modes (fully customizable). When you press the buttons on the steering wheel it only works with the ECS10-driving modes. You have to use the app to run the ECS10 custom modes.
The ECS10 driving modes are essentially the stock Hyundai modes (Standard, Sport, Sport+) but with small enhancements made by Mando themselves.

Is that about right?
Yes, exactly!:)

Do you know if the Mando module is directly active when I startup the car without going to the app?

I switched off the car with the Mando module on custom. Will it still be in that mode when I hop in the car next time? Or do I have to connect to the app to turn it on? :)

It will retain the last setting you program with it, if you've tied it into an active powered ignition circuit. At least for the VN mind you. Keep in mind mine is a V1 not V2, so there maybe some subtle nuances between them.:)

I have put it in the interior light fuse, like the ,,how to'' said. :)

Thanks for the clarification, I have little tried the module.

I just installed the module and it is connecting, seeing my car as i30N and I can apply changes without getting errors. Seems to work!

Sweet! I'm gonna get mine as well!

I'm also gonna tune the comfort setting to softest possible, as my residential area is littered with speed bumps, and there's quite some undulations. In N mode I'm pretty much bouncing against the roof with my head, but even in comfort it's pretty bad when doing 30kmh.

I'll also align the ride and handling settings, so they're equal always. I really don't want the car to behave differently depending on whether I just floored it or not. (See my thread on twitchiness, I think I cracked it by now)

Can anyone tell me if there's a good overview on what I need (like what kind of fuses?) for the module to be able to properly install it?

I'll PM you what you'll need mate! :)

Ohh and the module doesn't make the car very comfortable all of a sudden, but it definitely is more pleasant to drive. If the boss even confirms, than it's true haha!

Ordered mine, it should arrive this friday already!
I'll order a fuse tap today so I can mount it in the fuse box this weekend.

Thanks Remco for the PM's!

Are they sending it with 2.0 firmware or do you have to ask them to? Im checking the seller website and can't see anything about it.

I asked him twice what the version of the units were. First time he replied with "there is no problem with sales", after asking again he said "all units are v2 now". So I assume it'll be the correct version. I'll keep you updated whether that is the case.
