Kamyk's i30N PB Performance Pack

kamyk155 sorry for this post, but I can not leave the nonsense written by R Veloster N

1. I am a happy driver of the i30 Fastback N Performance (about 2 years).
2. R Veloster N - you've written " This is @kamyk155 thread", but in the previous post you senselessly attacked me. You also are very much defending the forge. You take care of your business interests on the forum? You also comment on a movie you don't understand - it's pathetic.
3. In the video to which I put the link, there is information that the forge sent a broken radiator. After her complaint, they sent another one, also broken. The first one was checked by the same person who checked the equipment shown in the photo by kamyk155. That's why I wrote about it. Maybe I shouldn't, because forge is untouchable?

Okay! Let's cut this off before it gets out of hand.

This is @kamyk155 build thread and he has already expressed he doesn't want this continuing in here.

@loboo it was a strange first post from you but after explaining more above it makes more sense and you were just trying to give warning. You've made your point. @kamyk155 has taken it onboard and processed it how he sees fit.

Manufacturers make mistakes, they all do. And people are allowed to point out and air their grievances about them and also defend them on a forum.

But somebody else's build thread is not the place!
Sorry @kamyk155 for the derail.

Have a nice weekend everybody.

loobo - I understood why you put this movie here - because it is the same guy from my dual can.
However in my case it is only the checking guy the same. I'm not worried at all about my products.
I can understood good one thing from this movie - those guys are from Poland.
Let me explain you guys something.
They ordered one product for their car to make it better - got bad product and ordered another.....but next was exactly the same.
In this case (because I'm from Poland too) they are angry like hell.
First - Forge is well known company with well known tradition and you got two bad products from them - one by one.
What you can do if you are from other country (not UK) like in this case - Poland - send it back, wait for another, waste your time and money - get nervous more and more.
Remember about one more thing - brexit. This is another story and it is totally weird.
I think they got totally angry about two parts and try to examine it theirself and found factory fault.
Why I say brexit - let me explain on my case with my two products....
I ordered those products directly in forge shop. Everything was lets say normal - until they arrived to Poland.
I forgot about one most important thing - BREXIT. I ordered them in january and new EU/UK law started to work from start of 2021. So those products landed at the customs office for customs duty. I totally forgot about it.
Almost two weeks I fought with customs, papers, mails, telephones.
You won't belive but I needed to sent them (customs) about 10 different papers about my order - what is it, what is it made of, what does it do, for which device... At the end I paid really big custom duty - almost 30% of the products value.
And now imagine yourself those guys with two broken coolers from UK (on the movie you can see stickers - january/february) and think about sending them back......

Back to my thread:

Old gold blanket from the intake went to the new boost pipe.
Today I will try to mount new blankets on the intake.
Thursday - service day in hyundai and mounting all parts.

Ok few more things done today.....and I paid a lot for it.

Another problem with Forge dual catch can.
First of all - they still don't have european version of the car and still make all accessories on their UK version so that's why.
Here are few pictures and my story:
1.jpg4.jpg
On the second picture there is marked red one of the connectors - it is too high and you can't put engine cover.
You can't change directions of the hoses because they are really stiff.
I tried with hyundai service guys few directions and to do something with it but with no luck.
Then I said - lets do the same thing like with my previous oil catch can - cut some foam from under the engine cover.
It ended with whole foam removal but it works - I can cover the engine again.

Another Forge product - boost pipe - no problems. Plug and play - just swap with oem pipe.
New pipe is covered with my old gold blanket (picture of the pipe is few posts higher).
On the pictures you can see only upper and lower part of it:
2.jpg3.jpg
And after test drive and leak tests - everything looks good.
Last part was new firmware:
firmware.jpg
Ah... I almost forgot - pioneer subwoofer is connected too. My electrician connect it to the doors speakers and for now it is laying in the trunk. Now I need to think how and where put it.
PS - yes - there is improvement of the sound for sure - with volume 10+ car started to shake 😄

if you route the lines as I've shown in my post:
i30 N - Bu11eT's Melody | Hyundai i30 N Owners Club and Forum - N-cars.net (n-cars.net)
then the engine cover should fit again (at least it does on my N)

HEY hello do you remap the ECU after change the HDT downpipe ?
Yes I did the remap (few times) after changes but first remap was with fully oem exhaust.
You don't have to do it - every chenged part for the exhaust will give you some extra power without ecu tune.
I don't have CEL (check engine light) after change flex/downpipe/gpf/rest of the exhaust.

And here is my package from Turbo Tech:
Now it is time to make an appointment in my hyundai service.
It massively astonishes me the Hyundai support you folks over there in Poland (and Europe in general to a degree) get when it comes to developing and improving these cars with aftermarket upgrades. I saw the same with @TarmoT and I've always been jealous.

I tried very early on in the piece to establish a working relationship with the local Hyundai service centre here, and with absolutely no obligation for them to respect the warranty for downstream issues associated with minor mods I wanted them to perform while it was in for a service (e.g, Powerflex rear motor mount bushes, Whiteline anti-lift kit, etc.). Flat-out NO. They refused to take my money. When I wanted something as simple as an oil and filter change at the 1 month / 1500km inspection they refused until I pressured the salesman (a great guy, and long gone) to make it happen.

After all the hell I've been through with them over the last six months it has become obvious that here in Australia they just don't have the talent, the passion, the care factor, anything in comparison. Looking forward to your review once they've fitted the new parts 🙂.

I had only one bad event with my hyundai dealer - my gearbox problem (they rejected my warranty, then I bought used gearbox and don't have warranty on this part).
But from first days witn my car I asked about everything and did everything in their service.
First reason was warranty. After adding and changing few parts ....they suggested me to tune my car.
Second - you need to tell them - this part can't void warranty because....
This part is only for safety, next part is for better car handling, another one - extend engine life...
I started from intake - better turbo and engine life and power for free.
I always told them what this part will do with the car.
Sometimes showing them links to the products sites with full explanation.
PS. all my parts are insured too and added to the car full price in case of theft.

So...fully legal and fully happy - only negative thing is really high service cost.

Yes, yes I've tried to talk to them like this but it falls on deaf ears. I get more more understanding looks and reasoned debate from my pre-teen daughter when I explain to her why she needs to have a shower every day, and why she needs to do her school homework WITH MY HELP. You mention a forum or anything on the internet and Hyundai laugh in your face over here. I even showed them a Hyundai TSB about the 5th/6th gear issue and their response was "we didn't get it". So I fixed it myself. I could not even get them to do anything when I offered to formally, in writing, waive my warranty rights and pay for a basic mod or fix FFS.

We're a Third World Country by your standards 🤣.

I just had luck.
My first service man in hyundai was a racing driver and he started to teach me some about sport cars.
He is working now in other city but my connections with the hyundai are still good.
YOU GUYS here on the forum are responsible for my addiction......Tarmo most 😊

Gentlemen @GazmaN @kamyk155, In my thread, I wrote about my first warranty inspection. About the synchronous replacement in the fifth and sixth gear. But I no longer wrote what trouble it added to me in the form of three months. I apologize for my bad English, so maybe you'll understand what I'm writing. The local seller kept forcing me to ask for proof in the form of photos or videos. I have long objected that nothing can be proven in this way. Eventually I remembered a guy who works directly in a factory. And I persuaded him for several months and finally sent me a repair kit. And he also told me the second part of the table with the viscosity of the oil, which is not in the manual 🤫

When I killed my first gearbox and I gave them my car for a long time - they did nothing.
Their knowledge about our N cars is still under average. You will know more from this forum than hyundai service.
In my case - they changed synchros and even two first gears - nothing changed.
They called me and say - car is ready - I came and drove for first few hundred meters - zero improvements, came back again, took one of the service mans and he make a movie from the driving. I showed him exactly moments with gear problems, weird noises and then after few days..... nothing. They still didn't found problem in the gearbox so I bought new (used) gearbox for 1/10 of the price and....problems with 1/2 and sometimes 5/6 are still there. No more weird noises but cold gears change are still sometimes there. In my case main problem now is shifting from 1st to 2nd gear in the cold mostly.
Now my last step to solve this problem will be fully fluid change and we will see...
