However UK Hyundai are useless for accessories for the i30N & the readily available Pipercross (PX1999) isn't approved to keep the warranty

Who told you that? Was it Hyundai UK directly?

Big naughty of them if so as initially they approved the "normal" PX1999 version.

Posts #752 and #779 on this very thread confirmed that.

Was my local dealer, they said the PX1999 wasn't an approved Hyundai part - Can take their word with a pinch of salt, but if they see it fitted & something was to go wrong I know they would use it as an excuse. After all, this is the same dealer that couldn't even bleed my brakes properly & made excuses!..

I was looking to import one of the 'N' ones when I have some spare cash to spend as they would have no come back as that was 100% approved by Hyundai & was/is sold by Hyundai dealers in Germany/Europe..

Might be worth asking a UK dealerships to check this Part Number:

Hyundai UK/Dealerships - what a total shower of muppets!

Totally agree!.

My dealer doesn't even have a way of ordering anything other than the rubber mats or the roof bars/box on that list as those are stock i30 parts! - the most useless parts/spares dept. I have ever dealt with - especially when I was looking to spend over £1k on parts when I first got the car..

I remember seeing that advert at my local dealership as a large 8ft billboard advertisement in the showroom so how they can't order anything off that is baffling.

They are a total shambles all over the country it seems.

Anyway, we digress.......!

The Nhanced Performance website (formerly Hudson Automotive) list the PX1999 as 'Hyundai Warranty Approved' 🤔

Yep!
I think the confusion has stemmed from a dealership telling a customer the completely wrong thing on this subject.

If you are really concerned then just pop the OEM filter back in at service times?!

Unfortunately I've binned it! I'm not worried about that per se, more that I'm using an incorrect part that will result in Hyundai using an easy get out should anything go wrong.

Finally have it in writing from Hyundai UK - Pipercross PX1999 is fine for the warranty (even if bought elsewhere & not just from a Hyundai dealer)..

Has taken just over a week for them to say yes to it - had to be escalated to the warranty team then onto the technical team..

Soooo my dealer lives up to their rep of being incompetent & a shower of, excuse the phrase, total a-holes..

To completely flog a dead horse regarding this subject:

Pipercross (UK version) filter is available from these guys who are Hyundai dealers. Specifically found in the "Hyundai Approved" section of the website:

If you ignore the generic image as thats all it is.

This is the cheapest I've found it posted -

Hello,

I don't like so much OEM air filter fitting with airbox, so I installed this nylon part to avoid unfiltered air inlet. Surprise was that the car works better with this, faster turbo charge and less lag. This 3.5" universal Ramair filter works so good!

HI All,

First time i30n owner, love the car and I'm ready to do some mods. I've already ordered replacement LEDs for interior, reverse and number plate lights. No idea why that wasn't done at factory on a 2020 model.

I've looked through this thread and the one below and I'm still a little confused, does the AEM intake suit for the i30n perf?

AEM's website doesn't even list as compatible 🤔

https://n-cars.net/forums/threads/aem-intake-system-advice.5324/

Is there a better brand to go with? Laws in Australia are strict when it comes to these being covered.

Appreciate and guidance and advice.

You're going to have to look to Europe/Australia, who produces kits specifically for the i30N. You might start with; Impossible Fab in Australia for starters. If you'll go back thru this thread you'll see some specific Kits and setups for the i30N. It's a lot to cover but there's also a lot of good information available.

Anything that is made for the VN, will take modification to fit correctly. The induction parts for the radiator supports are different, so they don't mate up well.

If someone could help me with my odd question it would be much appreciated!!

Was looking at the AFE induction kit but found something slightly more interesting...
saves getting charged for the extra turbo adapter which you can only buy from AFE brand and is very expensive.
Wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to directly pare this with say the forge filter or the AFE filter // what modifications would I need to d to make them fit
