For those interested, K&N finally have an air filter developed specifically for our cars (not the E-2993 for the Focus RS that kinda fits):

On the knfilters site it says "Not available". I assume that's because they have already created the online-placeholder with the product name "E-0642" in order for people to know it's going to be available soon - but it's not been produced yet, so there's no stock.
I say this because I imagine it's quite new, since a search not long ago provided no specific i30n result from K&N

First batch has been manufactured and an Aussie bloke has had one delivered (he contacted K&N directly); they will be available online imminently.

Well, it wouldn't cost anymore than listed and maybe less but the shipping will kill the savings. The UK is slated to have them available in January. However, let me inquire and see what they can do. :)

Cool! Thank you ☺️
I'll probably be out of Germany in a week and won't be back until the end of January, maybe even February.. so unless I can get it shipped to Spain without making the price completely overblown, I'll probably just wait till I'm back.

From a most reliable source; There hasn't been a pre-run of the filter made yet. Won't be made available until mid to late January anywhere, from the direct source. Everything comes out of Riverside, CA for North & South America - Asia - Australia/Oceania and the Middle East.

@GazmaN, Can you post the website/link where this is posted informing others?

I just called and waiting for a call back. I'll let you know, just as soon as I do. :)

Sorry mate, I can't - if you have FB (I don't) check out the Hyundai i30N Owners Club Australia page. A colleague handed me his phone yesterday and said "check this out". There's a story and photos. I wrote down the part number and then went searching.

I mean the part number does seem to be right, since indeed you can find it on the KN page and it is fitting for our cars, however it is marked as "not available" - so far.
So it seems the info is correct, but the guy either didn't get a real filter, or he was sent a prototype from an insider (which I assume would break some KN contract regulations)

Thanks I do and appreciate the heads up. :)

I can speculate but I won't.

I can speculate but I won't at this time. Some K & N part numbers crossover , as I found out for the 2020 Kia Soul GT-Line from another Hyundai. I fitted the filter for them and it work ideally as needed. They just utilized the same part number for the 2020= Soul 1.6T Gamma II engine.

Striking familiar to this:p;
