Is that the one I've heard they've fitted to the Mark Trueno / Street FX WTAC car?Just appeared on the Book of Face
MDSfab in Brisbane, Oz.
They do not seem to have a website, just the the FB page so no idea of availability/cost etc.
Might be a prototype (not liking some of the welds on the intake duct, they surely aren't finished off yet) but I do like the look of the airbox!!

Hi guys!
I'm new here. So forgive the numerous questions over the next few weeks. Recently purchased my i30n performance and so far im loving it.
Read that the drop in pipercross direct replacement filter is still covered by hyundai warranty, so was interested in the change. Have read mixed reviews on the stock filter being just as good, if not better.
Advice welcomed!
Tia
You'll probably have to buy it directly from a dealership to maintain warranty. ( These have the N logo on the foam rather then the standard pipercross X and I'd imagine has its own Hyundai part number).
They barely make much difference tbh.
The more powerful / tuned cars in the UK all use standard airbox to get the figures. Induction kits do invalidate warranty but only give a little noise no performance gains. For the £300 or so they are (not looked guessing at costs) Its not for me.Cheers mate, I dont want be forking out unnecessary money when its not really needed. How about the forge induction kits. Again, same question, is it really beneficial or does the i30n already do a solid job in that department?

There are no real "unicorn" magic bolt on power mods for this car tbh.
Induction kits are for noise and maybe improved throttle response.
I haven't really seen any 3rd party prove/disprove any induction kit power claims from Forge, ITG,Pipercross etc on this platform so would not like to summise.
Getting better airflow into the airbox and out to the turbo certainly won't hurt so a lot have gone for the Velossa Tech inlet snorkel at the front and a Turbo elbow (+ a suitable intake pipe to connect it too) after the airbox.
Pretty much all this is in this very thread. But I appreciate its quite a long one......![]()
Just noticed that Ramair now have a filter available. Looking at the end cap it seems like they've come up with a way of locating it nicely.

I was looking at the Pipercross drop in filter to keep the warranty - However UK Hyundai are useless for accessories for the i30N & the readily available Pipercross (PX1999) isn't approved to keep the warranty but the Hyundai sold one with the 'N' logo (PX1999HYU - 9999Z057141) is, except you can't get them in the UK.. Biggest joke is, it's made in the UK as well!!![]()
Всем привет, подскажите какой холодный воздухозаборник или фильтр поставить, чтобы добиться сильного усиления звука (шума всасывания)? Но в то же время, чтобы он хорошо очищал воздух.
Translation:
Hello everyone, tell me what cold air intake or filter to put in order to achieve a strong amplification of sound (noise suction)? But at the same time, so that it cleanes the air well.
I understand correctly that if you put a zero resistance pipercross filter, the sound will change with the lid closed?I've added the google translated version of your question to your post. Please only answer in English in the international section of the forum so the other members are able to follow the conversation.
Regarding your question:
What you are asking is somewhat contradicting, since a good filter removes sound.
If sound is more important to you, consider a K&N Filter.
If filtering is more important to you, consider a Pipercross Filter.
These are the two replacement filters I have experience with in person. There are more filters out there, but I don't know enough about them.
This is most annoying... as I have just bought and fitted the PX1999 this weekend! That looks like it should fit nice!
