I've just ordered the same tweeters as you, did you also use a crossover when you installed them?Right, I seem to be talking into the wind regarding this but to finally clarify.....
CHANGING the tweeters is fully recommended! Now I've changed mine to something else the sound quality has changed almost 100% for the better. There is clarity and there is now smooth treble without any "tinny-ness". The Mid-range from the door speakers is now coming through the mix better too.
The ones I changed to only cost £35 and fit with minor modification. (Focal TWU1.5)
The general sound is now on par with my old Dynaudio set-up in the Golf R. Obviously no subwoofer but I really don't feel the need for it. I have Audison woofers to go in the rear doors yet so that might give a bit more thump.
The whole set-up has cost me approx. £150 which is a bargain for the difference its made
I've since changed them to Hertz ones that sit on top of the dash grills but same principle applies.
Yes, use the the crossovers that come with them!
(The standard crossovers come away with the tweeters. Think I did a pic somewhere......Edit: see page 10 of this thread)

Thanks. That'll be my next move, I've already replaced the rear door speakers ages ago and installed a sub in the boot, just find the treble really offensive and tinny, had to turn it well down in the equaliser.
What sub did you go for?
I also installed the small Pioneer amp and thats made a huge difference to overall sound. Headunit equaliser is now on almost flat.
I used a Kenwood underseat sub, except it wouldn't fit under the seat, it's now in the boot on the RHS standing vertically.

I have this kenwood "underseat" sub and fitted mine in the boot/trunk like you have but I felt it wasn't kicking enough so I installed it in the middle of the floor on it's side tucked under the rear bench stuck with velcro. It fit's perfectly and not in anyone's way and sounds so much better.
Dumb question, but how did you connect it up?
Link to required harness or something please if possible.
Just tested the Kenwood sub in that position and I can't make my mind up, had to reduce base in the equaliser otherwise it overwhelmed everything else, as I've got new tweeters coming soon (Loafer-N77 was correct, the OE tweeters are really crap) and the Piioneer AMP as well I'm going to install these bits and then retest again.

I remember seeing a video about a year ago, filmed in Australia I think, it showed removal of the stereo to get to the wiring at the back, I can't find it now, I'm certain I followed a link in the N-Cars forum, if anyone knows where it is I'd be grateful.
