I tell.you - there is serious sound difference between radio / Bluetooth & ApplePlay. When my wife connects her iPhone 6s via USB, it sounds awesome. I'm thinking of upgrading just my Windows Phone 950XL to iPhone 8 (in red naturally) just for a sound upgrade & I don't need to pay the dealership for assistance.
It is exactly the same on the previous i30 as well.. USB stick, or connected via cable will always give a much better quality sound. I use bluetooth only for calls.
You mean.. JBL Car GT-BassPro 12"? I have an underseat.. It's ok... For example on rock/alternative it's ok, on electronic/substep or whatever has really fat bass it's a no. No. No. I don't care about boot space to be honest. I find the sound system ok in the N, for me it only lacks low's. Ordered that JBL today.. I like it too. A lot.

Nope. Just a lot of colourful cables.
This subwoofer has a normal RCA input (for head units with a subwoofer output) and a High Line input, which does exactly what a line converter does.
It's active, integrated amplifier. All you need is to connect it to a left and a right speaker.
I'll tell you a little secret.. You can connect an active subwoofer or an amplifier rated at maximum 180 watts directly on the 12V socket in the boot.

Nice. Why is it max 180w? I was thinking about putting in a 5 channel amp in the back and hooking up rear tweets, shelf speakers and a sub..
LOL.. this car is draining my wallet. I just can't stop spending on it.
Could I take a line from the fuse box to save running wire through the bulkhead?
BTW I did the cutting of the speaker brackets that you suggested.. Works a treat..
I'll post some pics on the other thread later. Only issue I have is, the audio plug that connects to the bracket has brown and white wires. I don't know what's + and what's - Can't see anything on the plug or speaker to indicate.

Had this in my last car,Can someone help me get this thing out of the box?! It's massive.
Had to make brackets and screw it down to the board above the spare wheel otherwise it slid around the boot.
I loved it although I feel its a bit big for my N
I was looking at getting a smaller sub for my N as the music didn't sound as nice as I'm used to.This sound upgrade package just came out on Hyundai DE Accessories website for i30N.

Amazing, as I was looking into something like that, and it suits everyone that wanted to simply plug in a subwoofer to this!
If I bought this accessories pack would I be able to just throw in a 10" sub in the boot and it would plug into the amp just fine?
I don't know too much about subs or amps
