So after some thinking, I ditched the Hyundai way and will be doing it my way. As mentioned before, the subwoofer is already here:

Today I got these in the mail:

So, I think this will be quite interesting.

In my opinion you don't have to go overboard, some reputable midrange speakers are already a decent upgrade, with no additional amps and such. In my occasion, I need to have that low end, I love that, hence the sub.

I've had a pair of JBL P1022 in my old i30, powered by rockford fosgate T10000BD :)
They were really nice woofers!
Later I've upgraded to audison SQ system.
Please feel free to check it out:
I still have that complete system at home.
There are some plans to upgrade audio in my N :)

I took down my door panel and removed one speaker.
Then I measured everything I need and designed new adapter in CAD.
It should fit nicely.
First adapter is printing as we read :)

If somebody wants to 3D print their own, I will gladly provide you an STL file.

well, I don't want to cut factory speakers, i have 3d printers at home and I like to have fun :)
But, you could fit an aftermarket speaker onto factory riser.

It is a little tricky with audison voce.
They have wider basket than usual speakers...
