I did, but it think 6mm square is the largest wire you can get there...
since I don't need more than 30A of current, that was OK for me.

@Bu11eT If your powered subwoofer or amplifier draws less than 180W/15A (20A fuse) you can safely connect it to the 12V socket in the boot. It's 4029387 times easier. Read the specifications of whatever you decide to install first though. Take a look at my thread if you wanna know how, posts 160-164.

good points - actually thats my plan B :D If theres a not-impossible way to get the cable into the cabin, that wont require me to disassemble the whole car, i'll still prefer that one :p but I keep your way in my head

Now, my soundupgrade is completed.

I have installed a 4 way Amplifier Helix Match PP 41DSP for the OEM speaker in the doors in combination with a Amplifier Helix Match PP 1 sub and a spare wheel well Subwoofer Match PP 7S-D.

It sounds great, unbelievable what u can get out of the original speakers.

Hy,

how did you connect the amplifier to the radio, is there an original cable with amplifier to connect or you cut the wires ?
Have any links where you buy everything ?

There is a Adapter from the manufacturer Audiotec Fischer available, so i don't have to make any cuts.

For my opinion it's the same like this, but not tested

Hi,

As I said in another post I'm looking forward to upgrade the sound system but as I dont dare to do it myself, I asked in a specialized car audio workshop and they gave me next budget.

- Focal upgrade kit P165VU (can't find info on that model number) = 189 €
- Speaker adapters = 15 €
- Match M5DSP amplifier = 499 €
- Match PP7S-D spare wheel subwoofer = 199 €
- Remote control Match URC3 = 35 €
- Wiring = 22 €
- Installation + specific calibration for this car = 194 €

Total = 1153 €

My intention is to make it as integrated as possible and I've been told that the subwoofer allows to keep the spare wheel and sits flush with it. Have to check though. They also told me that there's no need to upgrade rear speakers.

What do you think about it? Would you change anything?

I think I'll keep my 100€ JBL speakers, my 200€ JBL subwoofer, and go on vacation with 853€. The ignorant me says it may sound better as well, at least on the low end.

Or you could buy me tickets to Spain, I'll do the install, fly back and you'll have spare money for tequila shots and a tank full for your N. :p:p:p

That's it. Maybe our Systems are not the ones for audiophile people. Im really happy with my ~200€ setup btw. If you have the cash and you think it would be worth it, do it. Definetly an upgrade. I think it's a car. If I want to enjoy cinematic Sound, I'll use my home Stereo or go to cinema :D

So nobody test the German Pioneer upgrade pack?
Hy, I'm going to pick up my fastback on Wednesday with Sound upgrade deluxe package. If you have any specific question, I'll try to answer it during the weekend.

Ohhh! Super :) If you can please make a little sound review video :) First, i need only the review, is it better than OEM, on higher volume you hear any noise when have a bass (less power issue). Configurating options in deluxe, if you know where did the connect the frequency changer for the tweeters. Where did the install the AMP and how, what is the experience with the sound quality, and what speakers did the use? Because Pioneer Front A173Ci-s is a going out of market speakers. Thank you very much!

It's a new car, delivered with deluxe upgrade, so I can't really compare it to the OEM system. I can make a little stress test to see if it makes any strage noise/vibration. I'll be able to locate the amp, but inspecting the connections would be impossible cause i belive most of them are hidden behind the dash.
If you have a song/track which u prefer to test, just pm me pls.

Thank you very much :) I didn't prefer any song, try a Macalnemore (for bass) and Queen for quality :) And if you have original settings from hyundai to the amp (via android or ios app) please send somem screen :)

One question. Is there no crossover unit assambled in the front for the tweeters? Are the tweeters getting the full range of frequency?
