Another bad day after another car year service in hyundai.
I have a oil leak but don't know from where. Service guys say it is oil sweating. They didn't find the place of the leak too.
Only thing I know for now - it is small leak, maybe head gasket. This leak is from somewhere above of the oil pan.
I was under the car and when looking to the front - left side of the oil pan was oiled and wet like something dripped from above on it. No visible stains/stream of oil from above. Only half of the oil pan was wet. The oil level was normal.
For now they washed everything, told me to drive some and back for check again.
Another bad thing - something is wrong with my open intake pipercross filter.
I saw that the filter from the air inlet side was weird. When I touched it - it started to crumble and turn into black powder.
I dismantled it and started to clean it but it still crumbled some more. I have it from january 2024.
Then I started to check it from all sides - the problem was only from air inlet side.
All other sides of the filter are still good - much more plastic foam without crumbling.
To be 100% sure that filter still working I checked it inside and then the inlet pipe walls and turbo blades - they are ok - no dirt.
Just in case I ordered replacement piece.
I think the problem is with water (rain), small stones and bigger dirt with insects hitting the side of the filter from the front of the car with high speed. In my case I have Velossa Tech Air Intake Snorkel so all of the water/dirt hitting directly this side of the filter. If you guys have this pipercross open intake - better check yours.
Here are two pictures of the filter - look at the right side after cleaning - this wall is not straight but recessed inwards and the foam is more torn.
After those bad news I'm waiting for new filter and oil leak check after few days.
I ordered and received new front brake covers because mine are scratched and starting to crack - well known problem.
And I installed front mesh grill from Zunsport.
Because it is good to protect against rocks I ordered front side grilles too.
