As I work for Hyundai I thought I would share with you all how the exhaust pops work.
The active variable exhaust valve lets you select different levels of exhaust sound, ranging from relatively restrained in normal mode to the crackling after-burn growls in N mode.
The crackling sounds like a rally car in fast upshifts occurs as the I30 N deliberately alters its engine parameters to ignite fuel later than normal combustion, thereby discharging the explosion of fuel into the exhaust manifold.
The valve is mounted on the right-hand exhaust tip and is controlled in three steps depending on the engine revs and torque:
0 per cent open, 50 per cent open and 100 per cent open.
in the reverse the car has the loudest exhaust sound. i think, then its 100% open. anybody know, if the exhaust valve have a fuse. in my other car, which have also 2 exhaust valves, is it possible, to deactivate the valve function, just with take ou the fuse. then the valve will stays all the time open.
my other car, has also the mild2wild exhaust controller, which makes me possible, to controll whenever i will open or close it 100%.
i would like to have this also on the N

Can you show what fuse you removed or what do you did with the valve?
Simply unplug the valve. Done this while completely opened.
