Well they were showing off the exhaust, can’t see them doing that in Eco..

If they want to show the sound I think they will make different video just for the sound

There is also a video from a Fastback dct testing in Australia and that sound ist defenitly different

I think the sound will be similar to the veloster N dct sound..linke the sound from the non facelift which was similar to the veloster non facelift

I have read that it will have a sequential change, you can change with paddles or with the gear lever.

With the gear lever you will have to pull it towards you and then to go up gear you pull the lever forward, to reduce, pull down.

This is true?

Seems like the same as any DSG box. Could very well be true.

The answer is in the media release from Hyundai:

If the driver decides to use the gear lever instead, the gear lever comes with sporty shifting logic: to downshift, push forward, and to upshift, pull back.

I'm really looking forward to the first driving reports and what they will say about the sound... hope he will still crack and pops

In a german Facebook group i read about someone who claimed to have heard the new i30n in real life. He also has claimed, that the new i30n would sound exactly like the old model. Ofc i cannot say how credible that is.

Well now, now that We are starting to see official pictures, apart possibly from the seats, I have to say I prefer mine!
I think the front end on the current car is way better looking! Will it be more powerfull? I STRONGLY suspect so, this is what all car manufacturers do, do I need more power? NO!
I bought My 'N' in the FULL knowledge that it's not the fastest nor the most powerfull, I bought My 'N' because it has one of the best manual gearboxes I have ever used, I bought My 'N' because in 34 years of driving I have never driven a car at such an affordable price point that handles this well, let's see what they want for the facelift, ££$$€€€ more! 😉

This always happens, a newer version of the car comes out and everyone prefers their current version. Its human nature, nothing new.
I've been massively guilty of it over the years on other cars and then always ended up with the new one 😂

I'm not keen on the rear or the front at the moment but I'll reserve judgment until I've seen one up close. Price will play a major factor. Tbh I'm more interested in what the Kona N will be like.

Considering the Focus ST is now £32k (ish) new and the Golf 8 Gti being even more than that I can't see the new N being much more than £31k otherwise they'll just be shooting themselves in the foot.

Never... Here in Germany you get him new for 37.000€ wirhout discount.

Correct, but cars like this are almost x2 the price here compared to Germany or Belgium. ;)

The outgoing i30n was 57.000 euro here.

To name a few more:

Civic Type R: 65.000
Golf GTI Perf: up to 58.000
Golf R: up to 80.000
RS3/M2/A45: up to 115.000
