i30 N 2021 i30 N

Heading around to my preferred privier of exquisite automobiles today to invite them into a round of pricing negotiations!! Wish me luck. ;)
Good luck! Already have an idea of what mine’s aiming for. $57k it seems. Be interested to hear if others are hearing similar. Note that I’ve not negotiated anything yet

Premium DCT in PB. It was a toss-up between the blue and the grey. I went with the blue as it takes on the light around it and looks different/interesting each time I look at it.
Similar to my choice of DCT over manual. I really like the PB as a colour. But feel like my time for standing out has passed. About 20yrs ago 😆

i hope the dct is good concerned i should of gone for the manual
From all accounts, your either a purist and will only purchase a manual, or you're over manuals and wish simpler life and buy a DCT instead.

Me, after thirty years of manual cog swappers I will embrace the DCT like the proverbial duck to water!😁

Cool. I’d be happy with that. Problem is, the dealers know we’re all like spotty teenagers who are about to be robbed at our first visit to a strip club 😂
OK, so the dealer wants to play hard ball, fine. You need a plan B. Just tell them in a understanding and non passionate manner:

" Thank you so much for your time. I'm sorry that we couldn't do business this time around. I think I will head on over to "Ford Dealers Name" and place an order for the new Focus ST-3, I think that works within budget"....

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a go 👌😆

Yeah, my last manual was a heavily modified HSV R8 with a clutch rather for 1000HP. I drove that to the CBD about 3 times before I decided it was time for a new car.... Hahaha.

I'll get a manual classic car as a toy when I can afford to. But for daily duties - DCT will do fine. The reviews suggest it's still a bag of laughs to drive.

As promised, here are a few more photos and some first impressions.

First of all I have to mention that this is the first sport cart I'm driving/owning so I can barely compare with anything else.
The car is a beast, I love it so much, it's darn fast and the DCT seems about right. I got it yesterday noon time and drove ~100km until midnight on city roads.

I wasn't the most docile for the first day, therefore my fuel consumption were around 22-24l/100km.

The N Light seats are amazingly comfortable and good although I'm a fat guy (1.76cm with 110kg). I have some problems with the Apple CarPlay as the resolution on Waze is terribly wrong but hopefully will get fixed soon. Also I hate that I can't make the Apple CarPlay on full screen, that's a shame.

Now let's talk a bit about exhaust, it's incredible. Although the car has OPF it sounds incredibly good and definitely with more bass than the pre-facelift. On N Mode it farts at ~3.000 and at ~5.500-6.000 without too much hesitation. The only thing I'd love to have is the option to make it silent, yes you can put the car on Normal/ECO and it won't be that loud but still enough to make some neighbors going nuts in time, especially when I'm getting home at night :D.

I'm open to questions guys.

Isn‘t the N-Light of the passenger seat super annoying at night, of you are driving without a passenger?
Seems pretty bright to me.

Congratulations!

Do the dealers in your country also say not to rev over 3000rpm for the first 1000km, or are they saying you can go crazy from the dealer driveway?

when its over 500 km and its warm you can go up to 3500/4500 without hesitation :X

Over 20L per 100km seems like extremely, extremely bad fuel efficiency. I know it's not a field efficient car but those numbers are still double what a Ute towing a couple of tons is (getting up to 12L/100km).

only in the first 200 km its like 20l. After that it will go down. Im actually on 11.9 overall right now (but still very velocityheavy driving for the exhaust :p)

if you drive autobahn with 200km/h then you will go up to 13-14 :D and i think when you drive normally then it should be around 9/10 (didnt get there so far :D)

Hopefully it won't take even longer.

Some news for my order.

Delivery date shifted in May to mid/end of July.

But since 1 week it is end of August.

No statement from Hyundai.

Does anybody know something new about the 18" winter rims if they fit on the Facelift?

Where did you guys get your from !!!

I got it from Romania, Europe :)
Congratulations!

They didn't say anything but the Owners Manual mention it pretty clearly that it's recommended to not past over 3.000rpm for the first 1000km and also to always variate the speeds/rpm and not keep in constant for too much.

Over 20L per 100km seems like extremely, extremely bad fuel efficiency. I know it's not a field efficient car but those numbers are still double what a Ute towing a couple of tons is (getting up to 12L/100km).

Well I've mentioned and just to make it clear I'm mentioning it again. I've totally go crazy on the car on the first day :D

I think someone’s got trigger happy in their first hot hatch. I’d certainly not be revving it hard straight from the dealer, no matter how much I’d be gagging to do it. I’ll knock out the first 1000kms at low revs, and then go for it. I feel a few long trips on the freeway coming up in the next week or two 😆

That's right, I've been a bit trigger happy, a bit more haha. Apparently it's recommended to not maintain the same speed/rpm for a long period of time so freeways might not be too good for the first 1000km.

Nope, not at all. The lights are on mostly same time as your roof lights (opening doors, starting engines, stopping engine) and will be on for I think 10-15 sec then they are turning off.

you got a discount of 7000 euro omg, that's massive, isn't it? just ordered mine UK, phoned around a few dealerships uk wide but they weren't offering that type of discount so went with my local dealership who gave me a similar discount to what I was being offered elsewhere....6% discount, about £2k

Will have to change my profile picture soon. After a few frustrating attempts at trying to purchase the new model hatchback have now managed to purchase an i30N DCT with N light seats. Hope I enjoy auto!!! Roll on Tuesday!

Picked up my PW manual hatch today. So pleased with it even in running-in mode. It just feels right, nice layout to everything, controls feel 'chunky' and positive and it already sounds brilliant!
Interesting that I have read about the poor turning circle on here... Stopped for a coffee on the way home and had to back up when pulling out of a parking spot so I didn't hit the kerb. Looked like a learner driver!

You chose the best colour. I'm going for Polar white again but this time trying auto. Yes not the best turning circle but you will get used to it. Where did you get yours from?
