i30 N 2021 i30 N

As promised, here are a few more photos and some first impressions.

First of all I have to mention that this is the first sport cart I'm driving/owning so I can barely compare with anything else.
The car is a beast, I love it so much, it's darn fast and the DCT seems about right. I got it yesterday noon time and drove ~100km until midnight on city roads.

I wasn't the most docile for the first day, therefore my fuel consumption were around 22-24l/100km.

The N Light seats are amazingly comfortable and good although I'm a fat guy (1.76cm with 110kg). I have some problems with the Apple CarPlay as the resolution on Waze is terribly wrong but hopefully will get fixed soon. Also I hate that I can't make the Apple CarPlay on full screen, that's a shame.

Now let's talk a bit about exhaust, it's incredible. Although the car has OPF it sounds incredibly good and definitely with more bass than the pre-facelift. On N Mode it farts at ~3.000 and at ~5.500-6.000 without too much hesitation. The only thing I'd love to have is the option to make it silent, yes you can put the car on Normal/ECO and it won't be that loud but still enough to make some neighbors going nuts in time, especially when I'm getting home at night :D.

I'm open to questions guys.

Congratulations!

Do the dealers in your country also say not to rev over 3000rpm for the first 1000km, or are they saying you can go crazy from the dealer driveway?

Over 20L per 100km seems like extremely, extremely bad fuel efficiency. I know it's not a field efficient car but those numbers are still double what a Ute towing a couple of tons is (getting up to 12L/100km).

TBF, I was one of the first to sign up with them for it and the first for the Shadow Grey. They told me at a later date that a fair few had enquired about that spec and colour. Lucky me 😬
Sorry, forgot to answer your question. I had a guy called Dwayne to begin with. He’s left now. I saw the Pommy guy there once (I’m also a Pom 🙄) but speak to Fiona when needed

Which dealerships have you guys been dealing with, this pommy guy at melbourne city looked after me

Andy? Me too.
He's been awesome for me.I only ordered two weeks ago and my ETA (Optimistically) is 1/7.
I came across from another dealer in the SE, who had my deposit since Jan but my sales person quite and the new one was a "seasoned" car salesman.
"This car is in demand", "Look, I won't be able to move on price much.", "If you don't buy it, I've got another guy waiting on this spec..."
Pissed me off so I started ringing around to find another dealer and BOOM! 30min conversation with Andy I had a concrete price, first boat allocation and someone who had some knowledge about the "N".

I think someone’s got trigger happy in their first hot hatch. I’d certainly not be revving it hard straight from the dealer, no matter how much I’d be gagging to do it. I’ll knock out the first 1000kms at low revs, and then go for it. I feel a few long trips on the freeway coming up in the next week or two 😆
