i30 N 2021 i30 N

Look, it depends on the quantity of vehicles being delivered. So, the slow boat from Europe wont just have Hyundai's on it, as its stoped in China and know Korea, I would suggest it will certainly dock in Melbourne. We wont know for sure until the vessel heads our way, but my bet it will dock in Melbourne.

It seems Hyundai chucked our cars on the slowest and most indirect shipment possible. Presumably to cut down on shipping costs? It is now en route to make a second stop in Korea.

I'm fully expecting additional stops in Japan and Indonesia too, considering they are large RHD markets.

The indefinite wait and lack of pricing is becoming unbearable. First world problems, but it still sucks when we're dropping this much cash on something.

As I had already thought, but can't see the vessel heading to Indonesia, Japan most probably. As the ship can carry just over 7000 vehicles (depending on weight), I can assume it will carry other manufactures as well.

I can't agree with you more about the pricing debacle. If any potential buyer in Australia has paid a deposit for the FL N and the official pricing is outside the anticipated $2-$3'k increase over the outgoing model you would be within your rights to request a full refund, based on consumer law, but only if you haven't signed a contract. And one could argue that how could you sign a contract of sale and pay a deposit if you haven't the new price, if that was the case, I get the FL for the same price as the existing vehicle!

I reckon they won’t be cheap, my prediction is 56k for the DCT, and 53k for the manual, I’ve heard the GTI will be around 59k which is ridiculously overpriced, so a bit under that maybe?

I'm fearing for the worst, honestly. Mentally preparing for the possibility that I won't be able to justify it.

The Golf GTI starts at around $59k driveaway. Once you add the two option packs, it ends up being about $65k driveaway. The pricing of everything lately is getting ridiculous.

They almost certainly look at these forums and Facebook groups for hints when deciding pricing. I expect around 49990 for base model manual so they can say it’s under 50k. That’s still a roughly 4.5k price jump from the previous model year, but keeps the i30n as the affordable hot hatch. I think by pricing the DCT notably higher is where they will nickel and dime customers.

If they're listening, I'd like them to know that while I'm obsessed with this car, I simply refuse to pay more than $55k for a Premium DCT. Thanks!

I’d be preparing for the worst as well, personally I’d find it very difficult spending $55k plus on an i30N, simply because I’m now driving a car which I much prefer and having a lot more fun in for $20k less! Now $65k for a GTI is straight up extortion, you’d have to be a mug to pay that, what’s the Golf R going to be then? $75k?? Just insane pricing😳

Golf 8 GTI is roughly same pirce as i30N DCT here in germany. Golf starts at about 54k AUD with not to many options added.

I30N DCT starts at about 52k AUD without options. Im paying 56,5k AUD for the N Seats, Assistance Package and sunset red.

6MT is available for 49k AUD without options.

GOLF R starts at 79k AUD and goes up to 105k xD

Yes Hyundai, the new FL i30N DCT Luxury spec should be $49900 DA AUD no more to pay!!!!
And the first 500 buyers who pay a $5000 deposit will pay only $39990 DA AUD!

Just talked to my dealer (Belgium) and the N cars for this year are allready sold out in Belgium!
They are selling a maximum of 150 N cars this year (i20, i30 and Kona) due to the co emissionregulations that state that every manufacturer's fleet of sold cars can attain a maximum of Co. That means that for every N they have to sell a few full electric cars to compensate.
If they go over the limit, they have to pay a fine, per car.
To limit that risc, they put a limit on the most co producing cars of the range.
I hope they won't presell to many N's for next year, so there will be one left for me when I want to order in januar...
Why are the CO2 emission nrs for the DCT so bad (191). A Golf CS has 167, with even more power.
They could 've done much better with that, then they would'nt need to sell so much electric rubbish to compensate.

Just had another update from Dealer... another date slip. From 4/Aug originally, to 22/Aug, to now 9/Sept. 😔

Suppose the subject heading in her email "Just a quick update :(" gave it away too.

Based in Sydney.

I would hazard guess that your vehicle is part of the second shipment, sorry to hear about the delay. Probably also being effected by the chip shortage, which I had thought was a non issue for Hyundai, but is.

My Local dealer (Ken brown Hyundai in Letchworth) just emailed to say their DCT demonstrator has now been delivered and they are taking bookings for test drives from Monday, will probably book in for next weekend if I get chance to give it a go.

Sadly I imagine it will be a brand new car, like when I test drove the original i30n 4 or so years ago when they first came out, so they will say no going over 3k revs etc as its low milage...

Several dealers in Brisbane are saying cars are ariving early July. Does this mean your car is on a second ship that has been delayed to 9th Sept or am I getting BS from the dealers trying to lock me into a sale?
Or maybe you're talking about the Manual?

How does that work if they can't register to the 24th at the earliest?
