i30 N 2021 i30 N

It’s not about looks, it’s what’s underneath, I want an engine, I want an exhaust, I want to change gears, I want sound, I want the smell of gasoline, I want a proper car, not some heavy electrical appliance..

I applied for an electric Twingo via a government subsidy.
I love my i30N, but it gets old to drive it daily in the city on shitty roads.

I hear you and will always crave the same, but let's be honest - our days are numbered whether we like it or not. Which is probably why almost everyone on this extremely hot thread right now is doing everything they can to get their hands on the same. You've got one (albeit a Ford now, and a killer one at that) and I've got one and we love it.

I disagree with you on looks; the first-gen N is one of the the best looking hot hatches ever IMO and a good part of what drew me to it. But anyway, folks this way inclined should get a car like this while they still can.

I have to wait till June 17, but one day later i am going on vacation and have to wait another two weeks until i am back home 😩

If it makes you feel better I am on vacation from June 21 (3 weeks) and the car should be delivered by June 28. Was hoping the date is going to be moved a little since we were among the earliest orders but that's just the story of my life.

Would have been great to make the first 1000km in a few hours 😢

Oh man that‘s Horror 😣

Anyone here knows what's the situation with the homologation with the facelift i30N?? My seller told me they still dont have it even thought it's already in processing for 1-2 months already   . I really want to try it and maybe after it will convince me to trade in mine for a new DCT one...

Well, if I stop and think about this seriously, I suspect that the potential reasons for the delay in pricing are going to be based on availability of semiconductor tech built to their specifications either used by them or used by their suppliers.

All of this would be possible, but pricing for the i30 N FL is already available in at least a few, if not several European markets. It looks like this lack of prices is only happening on the LHD markets.

I never said I don’t like the looks of the i30N, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought one, I’m talking about the facelift, I’m just not as keen with what they did to the front and back end that’s all, the first version looks heaps better, and sorry what do you mean “I’ve got one”? Do you have a Fiesta ST as well?

You said " It’s not about looks, it’s what’s underneath" and I was just disagreeing in part with that, but I get you now. When I said "I've got one" I was meaning a car that delivers on what you stated you demand - "I want an engine, I want an exhaust, I want to change gears, I want sound, I want the smell of gasoline, I want a proper car, not some heavy electrical appliance..."

I've not got a FiST, but thanks in part to you there is a very strong likelihood it will be my next car. Sorry, I think we just misinterpreted one another. Happy days.

The unsaid implication for my post is that its specific to lower number regions - Australia/NZ dont account for much in terms of sales for hot hatches (except for Golfs, apparently we're one of the larger markets for Golf GTIs and Golf Rs).

When I bought my i30N at the end of last year, the approximate total number of i30Ns on Australian roads was around the 3k mark. Not a large number - I envisage that Europe would represent a much larger number, thus would have more stock availability and price certainty (especially since there isnt a vehicle carrier involved transporting it over oceans).

Speaking of Oceans - @Xcelr8 any update from your spy on the ship? :p

[edit]

FYI, its not a dig at Xcelr8 - I fully sympathise with any of the Aussies waiting for their car, given how frustrated I got during my wait.

I can jump in here - it's about an hour away from docking in South Korea. Hoping this is the last stop before Australia! Although I wouldn't be surprised if Japan and Indonesia are next.

My deepest unequivocal apologies to my fellow N-thusiasts!
I feel that I have let the team down by my lapse in not providing up-to-date timely reports on this bloody vessel...
but I do have a job that keeps me some what busy ;).

Do you know if it's docking on the east or west coast of Australia first?

If my order last year is anything to go by, I'm pretty sure its East Coast first. It landed in Sydney and cleared Customs etc, there, then made its way to Melbourne via truck.
