i30 N 2021 i30 N

They are probably waiting for N day on April 27th to make announcements etc but if they don't they will probably shoot themselves in the foot! no point promoting cars if people cant order them anfd there arent prices and availability but hey what do I know i'm only a potential customer.

If we don't get some i30 N news on N Day (pricing... release date... literally anything...), I might lose the plot entirely.

How hard is it for them just to give us a rough idea of what is happening with this car? It seriously feels like they've forgotten that it exists. Too busy promoting the i20 N and Kona N.

I'm seeing more and more evidence Hyundai are deliberately withholding information, for whatever reason. Here in Australia, the new Tucson is starting to show up in dealership showrooms, and they are still yet to confirm pricing to the general public (no press releases, configurator, etc.).

Weirdly, the dealerships have pricing, but you have to be a serious buyer (i.e. placing an order) for them to reveal it to you. Completely secretive. Such an odd business practice.

Isn't it interesting that Ford Australia can already give us the price and specs for the ST-3, even though it's not due here till Q4?

Every carmaker seems to be able to provide this information in advance... except Hyundai.

What do you mean with ST-3? Which model is that?

It's just the existing Focus ST for the Australian market but with all the bells and whistles, including features that we didn't get before (such as adaptive LED headlights, electrically adjustable seats, HUD, 10-speaker B&O, etc.)

Actually very well specced for the price (likely quite a bit cheaper than the i30 N). Adaptive cruise too! But no pops and bangs. You win some, you lose some.

I wont turn the volume up on the exhaust even if, get this, I OWNED ONE. Here that Hyndai, if I owned one of these vehicles.. hint, hint.

Honestly man, it's an absolute shit-show. Embarrassing even. Surely they are doing this deliberately - you know, building the hype by providing next to eff-all info and keeping everyone in the dark, on the edge of their seat and guessing with little teasers here and there. How many people are waiting on this thing? And for how long?! Modern marketing at it's most annoying IMO.

Guess I'm lucky I've had one for two and a half years and bought it knowing it was $39,990 before it was even in-country. If I was in the market for one now like you I would have dead-set pulled the pin and got something else (on principle) or just flat-out refused to buy into it by now. It's annoying the shit out of me and I don't even want one. I hope it blows up in their face(lift). Really feel sorry for you mate, and everyone else hanging out for...something? Hope N Day blows your socks off.

I don't even believe they are building the hype because if you look at what they are doing with the Kona N you see they obviously just don't give a f**k about the i30N for some reason.

The Kona N has tons of pictures and videos in camouflage since December hyping it like no other. Meanwhile what did the i30N get? One teaser picture and a video without the most important information which is the price and release date.

Again I was lucky enough to make an order late February here in Germany but just because I've contacted a decent dealer. The official info just shows that it is coming in 2021. Good job Hyundai.

They probably promote vehicles that they make most money on. Also we are in a situation where there are shortages of chips so manufacturers must prioritize car models and markets. There are long waitingtimes for other brands too so it´s not just Hyundai. The positive is that there are actually pictures of I30N:s delivered to dealers. So they are on the way. Patience people. The thing i don´t understand though is why they don´t release prices for some markets. Here as soon as Hyundai homepage was updated with new models they show the price.

The manual pops and bangs and it sounds pretty good, it’s the auto that doesn’t that much..

Just visited my local Hyundai pusher, he tells me that the delivery date of the new N DCT is looking like late June, heading back after work to discuss further... not that it will do much I image.

We also discussed the new Tucson, they mentioned they had taken delivery of several versions of the new model, but still haven't been provided pricing from Hyundai! They have only been provided indicative pricing!

Not sure how that supposed to work... sorry sir/madam, we "think" the cost is $??????....!!!!

LOL how can they still not have concrete pricing for a car in stock? How disorganised is this company? It's actually making me wary of the brand.

I'm going to be beyond frustrated if my car finally arrives at the dealership and they're still unable to deliver it due to a lack of official pricing.

Apparently the cars haven't even left Europe yet, so I'm mentally consigning myself to a July delivery at the earliest at this point.

I dropped in again after work tonight, they have indicative" pricing only...

Look, I know I said I would cancel my order if I didn't get a suitable response by the end of next week... but I was told to expect a $2.5 to $3 k increase over the current vehicle, same as I was told previously, the dealer even called Hyundai HO to get an update. Delivery is still looking at mid June in Melbourne.

A 2.5-3K increase sounds too good to be true. I'm thinking closer to a 4-5K increase. The Civic Type R is now gone, the Yaris GR isn't available until next year, the new Golf GTi is stupidly expensive, and those in the market know the i30N is a better drive than the Focus ST and Megane RS. Hyundai Australia know all this so they'll mark up the price accordingly.

There has been some interesting news about the GR Corolla. If Hyundai continue to be jerks about pricing and availability they can go screw themselves. I'll take my money elsewhere - seriously tempted to get a Fiesta ST for now until the GR Corolla comes here (or possibly the new WRX STi).
