However, I'm based in Europe (Poland), and since we're neighbors with Czechia, the delivery will be much quicker than what Australia gets with the ship.

I've got an early update from my dealer, stating that my car *might* be delivered mid-May (they did point out it might change at least ten times until then, though). However, I'm based in Europe (Poland), and since we're neighbors with Czechia, the delivery will be much quicker than what Australia gets with the ship.
Jeez. I'm increasingly convinced that I'm not going to see my car until late this year. If that is the best case scenario for Poland, then I feel it'll be a long wait for Australia.
Shipping cars from Europe to Australia typically takes about two months, plus about two weeks for customs and pre-delivery.
Assuming these are shipped out from Czechia the same time for everyone (and this is possibly not the case, since RHD production often takes a back seat to European LHD markets), that potentially pushes out delivery for me until at least August.
Hoping I'm wrong. I wish Hyundai would be more transparent and communicate something of a roadmap for production, and make mention of any hurdles that they are facing.
We are both in the same situation.. Apart from having no updates from Hyundai Australia regarding delivery, there is also the small issue of the local specification/pricing that is yet to be confirmed.
As per an early post, I had though the new N DCT variant, like the local DCT N-Line would come with Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Go function. I understand they are manufactured at different manufacturing plants on almost opposite sides of the globe, but this could seriously be a deal breaker for me! How hard is to incorporate this, it's just another computer and radar...
The lack of pricing is incredibly frustrating. I could more happily wait if I knew how much they're planning to sting me. It's difficult to be fully mentally set on the car when I'm worried I won't be able to justify the cost of it.
A fully optioned VW MK8 Golf GTI costs $65k driveaway here (probably thanks to the "COVID tax"), so hopefully Hyundai Australia won't be using that as inspiration, lol.
The lack of Adaptive Cruise also bothers me. I love it in traffic in my current i30 SR. Takes a lot of mental strain out of mindnumbing commutes. I'm going to be sad to see it go...

I couldn't have said it better! I had a good friend come around and gave me slap because of my thoughts of buying the Mk. 8 Golf... way to much coin - that was almost what he paid for his Mk7.5 R final edition!!
I will way up my options when official build specifications are made available.
If not for your post, I would still be thinking that it does have the adaptive cruise control... I'm so confused right now. It already has the rear collision sensors and the front collision sensor... what the hell is keeping them from adding the cruise control on top of that? I'm seriously disappointed right now, I hoped my newest toy would be easier to drive in traffic jams. It's still a long way from having no cruise control at all in my current car, but for this price...
There is no radar at the front, which means no adaptive cruise control. Whether it's due to engineering or cost, you'll have to ask Hyundai.

Wouldn't the front collision assistant require a radar to work, though? It has to detect that somebody just jumped in front of you, and a camera doesn't sound like a good source of that information.
The camera, at least in Hyundai's system, can detect certain objects. These are shown in the specifications list. We'll have to wait for final specifications, but for the pre-facelift i30N, it lists:
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) - City/Urban (camera type)
For the i30 N-line, it lists:
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) - City/Urban/ Interurban/Pedestrian/Cyclist (camera & radar)
The N-line has its front radar behind the 2D Hyundai badge.
The press release for the facelift says the i30N facelift can now detect pedestrians as well. There is no mention of interurban or cyclist detection, or the use of radar. They would have made a big deal if the car had it.
I hope they have decided to add radar and all the features that come with it.
On the Austrian site there 's allready a configurator for the new N, with all standard and optional equipment.

I'm hoping each market have the choice to choose final build spec's, and that Australia, not to be mistaken for a country located in Europe (Austria), will have it as standard on the new DCT variants like the i30 N-Line.
It may possible be that 1.) The Czech Republic manufacturing facilities is not setup to install it 2.) Hyundai just did not think about it, or 3.) Why offer something basic like this in a segment where ALL the competitors have it as standard!
There are other considerations like, Wireless Robot Auto and a full Digital Display. But one can only wish cant they.

Hi guys, I’m currently considering an i30 n-performance hatch as my next car (currently have a 2019 Seat Ibiza FR Sport). Does anyone have any info on when we can order the 2021 facelifted model? I’ve not seen anything online since a few videos posted back in September last year. There’s nothing on the Hyundai website about the new i30N, however the new standard model i30 does appear to be available. If anyone’s got any info it would be greatly appreciated.
You should try contacting your dealership - many dealerships throughout Europe are already taking orders (I have an order in Poland, I've also seen somebody having an order in Spain and Austria).
I don't think there have actually been any formal updates on the car since the original unveiling in September, frustratingly.
I find it odd that VW unveiled the Golf R in November and had it on sale within a couple of months, yet the i30 N is still nowhere to be seen. I'm starting to wonder if there are issues with the car.
They are loosing customers that way.
Personnally, I gave up on the facelifted version, found a very good deal on a 2020 brand new i30n. Arriving within 3 weeks

But only 2 weeks since placing my order with dealer.
I'm just not interested in manual gear changes anymore... getting old(er) and lazy(er)...
If Hyundai would just release official local specifications and pricing!
I've been waiting since 2016-2017 for the DCT (since the original car was still in camouflage). I'd take the manual if it weren't for a permanent injury to my left arm. I can definitely relate to the frustration of waiting for what feels like an eternity.
I'm honestly at my wit's end with the lack of information and clarity on the release in Australia.
I'd be much less frustrated if they could just provide pricing and a release month, so at least I could prepare my finances and mentally lock it all in.
