PCP / Lease / HP??

Agree 100% with everything said. Competitive finance deals and they will have a winner. The publicity for cars like the Golf R and M135i/140i has been in large due to the great finance deals on them. Word spreads quickly and they are now seen commonly on the roads. Hyundai really have a great car here - but if they don't get the figures right re: finance then I think they will loose all the momentum they have gained recently from the pre-release PR.

Anyone heard anything today? I know it’s likely tomorrow before they appear but I’m optimistic as I go away to work tonight until Friday!

I had a reply off them on twitter just saying every dealer should have the car as of tomorrow and be able to tell me about finance options.

Frustrating. What does having the car change? Most dealers have had the car on the showroom floor for weeks.

Figures are now on the system.

48 Months
8000Miles PA

GFV- 10512

Certainly an expensive alternative to some of the rivals.

£365 with £4000 deposit more like.

Really?

If you take the GFV 10512 off the £27995 then you are left with £17473 over 48 months. That would be £364 per month before you add a % apr on. That's with no deposit. I take it that's not how you work out it out ! :-(

Well yes it is in a way.

But add 5% APR and you add nearly £100 to the price

and for every £1000 you deduct in deposit is equal to about £23. So You can see that you end up back at £365. Roughly of course but you get the idea.

I suppose we need to wait for the figures and maybe deals can be made etc. I don't have much more than £1000 for a deposit and my limit is around the £350 per month. If it's not doable then so be it.

I can only go on my personal experience where I have a £24445 car, had only £800 put down upfront, and my monthly payments are £290 over 4 years. The GFV of this car is more so I wouldn't expect the monthly cost to be drastically different but will certainly let you know when I get a call from my dealer....

They have the numbers now.

I just spoke to my dealer and he said Hyundai are not doing any dealer contribution on launch. So the price is the price basically.

Of course things can and will change over next few months as they see the uptake in sales.

Tricky one this.

It certainly is.

It’s a case of how high you want to go.

Also just because Hyundai aren’t going to offer discounts doesn’t mean that dealers won’t out of their margin.

Here is a PCP calculator to use

https://www.carwow.co.uk/pcp-calculator

Purchase price £28,000
Deposit £1,500
GFV £10,512
APR 5.9%
48 months

£427 pm

With no discounts I just can’t see people buying these on PCP.

This is what I use. APR is 4.9% sorry I'm not nit picking.

Yes no doubt its not cheap. Could have done with the GFV being 2k more and the APR being 3.9%, then we would have been happy!

Ha ha very true!!

I'm still hopeful. It's not that I can't afford £400 plus a month - it's just that I can't justify it I'm afraid. The Pro Ceed GT that we have, well, my wife really does love it. To be fair, I do as well. I can't go from £290 to £400 plus for this car, not at this time anyway.

Unless my dealer contributes something to bring the cost down then we'll be keeping the Kia until September and then we can look again....
