I just found that the updated turbo for the i20n comes in three versions. Data from the website are saying that the first stage turbo upgrade, does not need ecu modification while stage 2 and three need to be modified. ", good point - but I am interested in hearing the results when you manage to source a turbo
.
I’m home - all done and running well. The only problem was the shocking weather and driving rain that persisted all day so I really haven’t had a chance to explore the performance. What I can show is the dyno results of my previous stage 2 tune and the new turbo and stage 3 tune:

The blue line is my previous CS stage 2 tune and a very respectable 255 bhp. The red line is the new turbo and tune and the final result is 298 bhp. Do you think we can call this 300 or is that too much of a reach?
I‘m now hoping for better weather so I can thrash this little beastie and stretch its legs a little.
0-60 is not a proper measurement for such a powerfull car. Better 100-200 km.YNWaN have you done a 0-60 mph on your 300bhp Beast yet or 1/4 mile ?
Also having to be a little more careful as l recently suffered a very large bilateral Pulmonary Embolism and possibly an heart attackNot had much chance to test them but just from the journeys that I have done 1 much more comfortable on bumpy surfaces (all surfaces) 2 totally cured the side ways noise at low speed corners which had become very loud and uncomfortable ( when coming out of my garage and for quite a few corners every time I used the car Ackerman effect
Yes definitely makes you realise how precious life can be I suffer with PTSD and my Dad had just died so thought I was unwell because of that !! Then got severe chest pain and collapsed became unconscious and was rushed into A&E feeling fine now and being treated with blood thinnersBlimey mate. Very sorry to hear that. Sending all my best to you.
Makes us appreciate that having a great car is only ever secondary to the really important things in life.
Thanks for the response about the tyres. Appreciated.
Also, good news that you are happy with them so far.
I don’t disagree but there are a couple of problems with doing such a test. The first is that 200 KMH is about 124 MPH so way above the legal limit on any U.K. road (that being 70) and the second is that, even if one wanted to break the speed limit, congestion is so bad that such a run is difficult to achieve!0-60 is not a proper measurement for such a powerfull car. Thats why in Greece we do such a test after midnightI don’t disagree but there are a couple of problems with doing such a test.
