Another small update. Installed the Canchecked display and got my new rear silencer.
Canchecked Gen2 Display
Super late to the party with this one
Got mine as one of the first ones in Germany (installed it roughly a month ago).
In the meantime there is an updated version published (see the thread of @kamyk155) but I have the same version as @WoLf130.
The Canchecked is mounted in a ventilation grille and connected to the obd port via a specific cable.
Mounting it is super simple although they did not have an installation manual at the time.
There is a i30N-specific firmware installed on the display so it is able to read the correct PID values via OBD. The display is one of few if not the only one currently on the market for the i30N that is able to display and log the oil temperature.
All in all I am super happy with it and I am planning to add a few external sensors to it when I get my turbo upgrade done.
You are able to customize the view as you like, there is an additional software available to give you all the customization options that you like. I already did a custom view with the N logo included
To mention a few things I do not like:
- the auto-dimming feature of the display does not work currently (I am in talks with canchecked to get this resolved)
- CEL error clearing via obd does not work (EDIT: resolved with latest firmware)

Updated rear silencer
As you may have read in one of my previous posts, I was a bit unhappy with how "loud" my new exhaust system was when driving on the german Autobahn with the exhaust valve closed. Happily my exhaust was custom built, so no issues fixing this
Got a new rear silencer and now my car sounds like an electric one when the valve is closed
No worries, still plenty of awesomeness when the valve is open
Here are the old and new version of the rear silencer compared, so you can get an idea.

New:
With this last change I can finally consider the exhaust chapter of my journey completed. Time to focus on the intake with the airbox and some brakes. Afterwards its time for some turbo fun
