Kamyk's i30N PB Performance Pack

Have you considered going with the Gen2 hybrid turbo?

Having experienced a hybrid Gen1 turbo, they have to be pushed pretty hard to reach 400BHP (I've seen you mention previously that number is your goal) but with the hybrid version on the Gen 2, it'll sweep past that number with no problem before you have to start thinking about another step in fuelling

For that price I can have two turbos gen 1 with +/- 450hp.....
My primary choice for now is Turbo Zentrum stage 3+ 450HP+.
With TZ 3+ tests show from 410-435hp so it is perfect.

Don't know why the TZ one is so expensive, but you can get the 500 PS-Facelift Turbo MTT used for 2,5k € already: https://tteglobal.com/hyundai/i30n-2.0-2017/479/tte490-g4kh-upgrade-turbocharger?number=TTE10477
Sorry for OT, Kamyk, but maybe you find this info useful as well.

+1 on the TTE one. That Turbo is a real beast. First one to go 500bhp+ ;)
But I understand @kamyk155 here, the Turbozentrum turbo is an absolut solid one and Markus from MTT has plenty of experience with that particular Turbo. And if all that he wants is 400bhp, then the Turbozentrum one is a good option. Ofc you can go better, but it gets more expensive along the way ;)

Today I sent mail to Courtenaysport one more time bacause I'm waiting for now 11 days (8 working days) after ordering the hpfp. Luckily I got answer fast with info - hpfp was sent to them today and after arive it will be send to me.
With this info I ordered today Turbo Zentrum stage 3+ 450+ turbo - the last part.
For me - TZ 3+ is expensive but it is trusted company.

Now I'm looking for one of my friends (2nd driver) for a trip to MTT - Markus and do a solid and safe tuning.
My intention will be 400HP+/500nm+. With my hardware and some luck - 410-420hp will be magical number.

And here is my last part - turbo blanket.
Hard to say I'm happy because it doesn't fit too good.
Here are pictures:

And here is the picture from the shop:

Maybe it will fit better with the catalyst next to the turbo like on the shop picture...

I defintly didn't have fun installing my blanket with the turbo still on the car. I basically was laying down in the engine bay trying to get the springs on ... would of been a funny sight though.
Mine did seem to fit ok in the end.

You need a set of long hooks and some thinner cord. Tie the cord on the spring, attach the spring on the off side, use the long hook to grab the string and stretch the spring into place using the hook to assist.👍🇺🇸

K&N is harder to fit than pipercross but everybody who have pipercross know that it was too loose.
Here is another comparision - K&N - Pipercross - OEM (sorry but this is picture from my monitor and desk......

K&N is more like OEM but I think it still isn't perfect - from the intake pipe side box cover need to be pushed some to close it.

Yesterday I talked with Markus from MTT and I have an appointment on beginning of the may.
I didn't found anyone who would like to come with me so I will go alone - trip 2 days in one direction (1300km) then three days in hotel and another two days of the way back (another 1300km).
PS - do I need that ecological sticker on my car to enter Germany (German Emmision Sticker - green 4) ?

Best possible choice for getting a proper tune - trust me ;).
Regarding "Umweltplakette": yes, you'll need one for Stuttgart city area (see https://www.stuttgart.de/vv/leistun...kette,die Umweltplakette per Post zugeschickt. )
But I'm not sure if you need one for Weinstadt (where MTT is located). Getting such sticker shouldn't be an issue at all and can be requested via mail (see German link above).

Yeah I know that he is pro tuner for our N's.
I have almost the same parts in my N like you but without lpfp (but stock is up to max 450hp - Markus say it).
Markus told me to expect something from 400 to 430hp. My target is 400+ but solid 400+ (410-420-430).

That sticker I can buy in Poland too in car diagnostic stations and it isn't too expensive.

The only thing I'm afraid is the long trip, high prices of fuel in Germany, my weak german language and 400+ tuning.
I would like to don't have problems because if something will be wrong I can't back there "just like that" for eventual corrections.
That's why I think I would stay in Germany for three days not two - just in case.
First day - installation of the parts, second - tuning, third - driving and testing.

Sticker you can buy on any Dekra station in Germany. Cost about 10-15€ I don't remember.
