i30 N 2021 i30 N

My own (admittedly limited) experience of PCP deals makes me think that the option to buy price is deliberately set at a low price to encourage you to buy the car at the end rather than just return it. I bought a Polo GTI with an option price of £8,300 when the market value was nearer £11,000. I therefore had to buy the car and sell it myself so I wouldn't lose the £2,700 difference.

This 'profit' should therefore be factored into your decision along with your deposit and monthly payments.

either that or;

it's set deliberately low, so then you have some "equity" in the car and the dealer gets you to use the difference as the "deposit" on your next PCP, thereby keeping you in :)

And to cover themselves in case the car does devalue more than they anticipate, otherwise they'd be losing money on the car at the end of the agreement

The first Australian shipment was scheduled to dock in Guangzhou last night. Instead it's just been anchored out in the bay for 24 hours with no sign of movement. Must be a lot of traffic or something.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Australia social media are ignoring dozens of comments on Facebook and Instagram about pricing and replying to all the mundane emoji comments instead.

This release is so tiring, lol. I just want to get properly excited about my car.

I too found it a little strange that the vessel headed for China after stopping in Singapore, and it now sitting off the coast of Hong Kong. I hope that we don’t discovery it heading to Korea and Japan before heading down under!

I think we will end up having the cars arrive, be transported to dealers and still wait weeks for confirmed pricing, just look at the Tucson launch as an example. I have the opportunity to test drive the new Mk. 8 Golf GTI this weekend, based on the brief discussion with the dealer, you can expect to pay south of $58K DA for the base model!

Dealer just emailed me, my expected delivery just slipped from 4th August to 22nd. :(

I'm now convinced that we will have to wait for all three of the new N vehicles (i20, i30 and Kona) to be launched at the same time! I just whish those muppets in the Hyundai (Marketing/Sales) could communicate what is going on!

They're claiming "July" on Facebook and Instagram this week, but they also advised the press it'd be June only two weeks ago. It just keeps slipping.

It's becoming stranger by the week, it's not "rocket" science for heaven’s sake. Even if you take into account this bloody virus and chip shortage.

I can't work it out, is the intent to build "excitement" for the launch campaign, only to destroy everyone's hopes with a massive price hike? They better hope I personally dislike the new Mk. 8 Golf GTI, as my hard earned may be going to the "Evil Empire" commonly known as VAG!

Dealer just updated me, they expect a shipment to dock in melbourne on 11/07.

Is that supposed to be the first shipment, or a second? The Thruxton is supposed to dock in Australia (unclear where) on the 16th of June. I hope it hasn't been delayed.

I was just relaxing at home thinking how nice it will be to own a car with ample power to overtake slow drivers on my way home (in a safe manner)... and of the two shipments of the FL coming in 1 how many vehicles are being shipped in total (over the two vessels) and 2 how many are already allocated to buyers.
