Finally completed my setup...
The system is powered by the famous Pioneer D1004 amp and the speakers are from Ground Zero.. mid/sub in the front and full range in the rear..
Used the regular harness to install the amp, it is tight to get it to fit but it's doable... found a set of speaker adapters on AliExpress but they're not 100% compatible.. it requires some cutting on the adapter itself and on the original plug as the guides don't line up 100%.
Also added sound deadening material in the doors and trunk..

Overall very satisfied with this setup... it still requires for the speakers to settle a little more but so far with the current setting I can power it to the max without distortion..

Anyone got an alternative loom that can be used for the pioneer amp instead of the CT10HY07? Suppliers all seem to be out of stock and I want to order a loom that's been tried and tested

Has anyone else experienced a massive difference in audio after updating the headunit with the latest firmware...?
Treble and midtones had to be turned down by at least 3-5 digits... bass seems to be at a lower frequency but it could also be that my speakers have settled...

No, not at all - I’ve not found any difference, sounds exactly the same to me and all the settings are the same.

Just ordered a set of Alpine speakers, S2-S65c for the front and S2-S65c for the rear. Plus a D1004 amp for the head unit. Should all arrive at the end of the month. Really curious to see the difference as this is my first time working with aftermarket audio.

You'll definitely notice a big difference just with the amp. The speakers can only help improve it more as well.

Make sure you also damp the inside of the doors as this genuinely makes a huge difference.

Will purchase some dampening soon, thinking about an active subwoofer as well, but will need to do some research. Realised I labelled both speakers as the component ones, the rears are just the S2-S65 series.

yes, depending on what version you had before. They made changes.
I went from V112 to V134. Sound is more "surround" and airy and lack of midbass. I had to retune my DSP to stop my ears from bleeding...

Yes.. that is exactly what happened to mine... had to retune the whole thing..
The only problem I have left is a massive difference in bass between rock and dance music...

Yes exactly. Dance music can have too much bass while rock lacks some mids and lows...
They should have made an optical out to bypass the internal DSP so we can fine tune it to our own taste.
At the moment I have a subwoofer volume control to adjust it on the go.

The ehad unit have a pre-out? Or you use the speakers exit with an adapter?

I’m about halfway through my install, I’ll put up some information when it’s relatively finished. Still got parts on order annoyingly. This thread is definitely a treasure trove of options though if you find the time to go through it.

Latest and final modification I did to the audio was adding these foam rings..
I must say it improved the audio a lot... a lot less leakage and the door trim stopped resonating..

The only thing I need to address is the ceiling lightning in the rear... it vibrates a lot...
Maybe there are some tips on how to solve that...?
