Radio Engineer Mode / Android

The normal I30 and the N version is different. All versions of make third party app (like lot of videos on youtube etc.) not work with the N version! The N version have a very hard protection in it. Somehow, it locked. With the last update (2019 summer) the application access blocked too. From the backup file, too can't reach anything to access to the system. Maybe some very good programmer maybe can do something, but i think, it's need a HW point on the prcessor to can be upload a software to get in (but that don't have the N applications) If somehow can be download the N apps, from the Android it's a good way to hack an FW to upload third party apps. And all of the settings, can't be enabled in the engineer menu. The settings are not saved/or can't be enabled.

I can imagine all the hard protection Is to avoid people getting into the N-section of the software, there's a lot of juicy data I bet

N-Section? N mode? Everything on the radio are specified can signals, like also used by other manufacturers (Ford, VW, BMW,..) to control for example the climate control on the headunit. So I think there is nothin "special" hidden except of some logging features and so on. Nice to play, also if you could rewrite "system apps" or customize the Layout / fine tune designs or implement some more data-readout.

Btw, merged the 2 threads, because this was exactly the same version of getting into this menue like posted a few pages ago.

The hidden items is all I'm referring to. It would be good to see things like tire-temps etc from the head unit rather than in the dash in front of you. Anyway if it's exactly the same I may as well remove it again. Cheers for the info though guys

For the Veloster N Engineering Mode; system-settings-storage.

Touch 5 times on the lower corner left and then 1 once on the lower corner right. Has to be done in fairly quick succession. To get out of the mode, simply utilize the back button on the screen.
