Have to say, blacking out the grille frame is, in my opinion, the best single improvement for the looks of the car. I've considered different body kits for my Fastback but this is definitely which I'll be doing for the exterior. Good job on that one and thank you for the inspiration.

I'm curious about your experience with the Michelins, like them so far?
Regarding pure grip on a hot summer dry day, they are both very good, can't say I've noticed any differences, as I don't track mine anyway.
What I immediately noticed though, is that when the weather gets a bit colder, under 15C or so (May or September for example) they don't lose their shit like the Pirellis did, and you don't need to drive 10 hours to warm them up. Constant stickiness on the road, without any wheel hoping on acceleration or fighting for grip.
When raining, their behavior is almost as good as when dry, whereas the Pirellis were a joke.
And they look a bit wider, and beefier, which I personally like.
I only switched or tried them because they were priced lower - someone had put them on to try them out and decided against them - my luck. I got them for €50 cheaper each. I’m satisfied and I did notice the grip was better by lower temperatures. They seem to be a little quieter as well. Hey, I thought I should let you guys know that in a few months I won't be driving my N any more. It's been four really good years driving it daily. It was always so much fun, full of character and I'm gonna miss it. Cheers.
The car unlocks, lights come on, I hop in, seatbelt on, pressed the start button once, systems checked, pressed it a second time and… I think the engine managed to do maybe half a turn.

Where did I say that the i30N's battery is a lithium battery?But it’s not lithium!
Took this sucker out just now... it's a heavy boy. I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up and we'll go get me a new battery, whatever the brand, as long as the specs are the same. It's not fun to do this outside with -3C btw, wouldn't recommend...

Ok so new battery is in, local shop only had Vartas so had to pay 190EUR, but whatever. Everything works, have to redo the settings, but that can wait, time to sleep and then go do my night shift.
