I30N 2024 (Last Facelift)

Yeah no all digital dash for me, it looks cheap. Top end cars still have an analogue dash.

We get the 10 ways electric seats, no way I'm going back to manual seats. When you open the door the seat goes all the back automatically if you want it to, makes it easier to get in and out. The memory is great, one button setup.

My bet is interior changes like the dash and yes, watch the price go up another $3000

I like the light bucket seats even though they are a bit more uncomfortable for everyday use. Just a bit more aggressive and make the car feel more ‘track’. My sim racing rig has a pretty aggressive bucket seat so I’d like to stay similar haha

I guess one option is getting the hatch discounted knowing there is a new one coming… unlikely

I think they will run the current model well into 2024 before they change it. They keep pushing it back and back. So far they have removed N Light seats and the metallic red when you order now.

They are definitely testing a new model in the same platform, but there is no clue as to what the updates are or who is getting them.

I am very happy with my new car I got this week. I put lots of thought into whether I wanted the new one, but I don't think I can better the spec I have for myself, which is all that counts. I don't want to miss out on the N Light seats and analogue dash. I'm not a fan of the red trims either.

There is a video going round of a 4 wheel drive Kona N in camo...

Where abouts are you based and how/where did you hear about the light seats going?

If missing out on the light seats and the analogue dash is a huge deal to you then you definitely made the right decision. I personally would prefer an updated interior so the change from my current car feels like more of an upgrade. I also like the idea of it being a little newer with updated tech - built who actually knows if it will be updated much. When did you order yours and where are you based?

I’ve seen the Kona N but I don’t think I could get one of those. They seem
Ok but not for me.

I am in the UK.

I ordered a car on August 1st and I got a call from the dealer to say I can't have the N Light Seats as they have been discontinued for the model year '24 (starting production in Feb 24). They couldn't get me a build date for this year so I called round all the dealers in the south east of England. I found mine with a September build slot with everything I wanted (Engine red, DCT, NLS) that was ear marked for the managers demonstrator. I was very lucky!

They didn't want to sell it to me and wouldn't discount it, so I sent them my invoice from the other dealership with the March order and they honoured the discount. Apparently the manager was upset that he lost his car..

My car's build date is September 21st 2023.

On a side note, I'm sure they have improved the sound system since my Feb '23 build date car (ex demo), I had bought back off of me due to bodywork issues.

If that’s the case then maybe I’ll be missing out on light seats then I guess as I didn’t order till Feb and I haven’t heard a peep. When I ordered rumor was it was a 12-18 month wait and then they closed orders: That’s weird he said discontinued for the model year 24. So that’s not even saying it’s a new car or anything, just that 24 won’t have light seats?

Sounds like you got a good deal with what you want which is good. So you think they made a mini update to the sound system?

Probably wishful thinking but it would be great if they added these items to the facelift:

- wireless AA/Carplay
- Adaptive CC
- Rear vents and USB ports

Other than that the car ticks all of the boxes in its current state.
I don't think you will get rear vents with a physical handbrake. I'd rather the proper handbrake.

Adaptive CC would be great.

Been told by my local dealer the I30N 2nd facelift will be Korea and Australia only. No European release.
Probably New Zealand as well as we essentially get the same car as Australia. If not I guess mine just went up in value.

Korea? That seems strange and unlikely... The i30 N has never been sold there, and the regular i30 hasn't been on sale there in years.

Sounds like dealers are telling different snippets of info to various people. I’d probably be taking a lot of this info with a grain of salt at this point.

He could absolutely be telling porkies because he said the US too and they've never had them. I ordered a car in March he told me would be a 2nd face-lift when production started in sept/Oct. I've a car coming that's the first face-lift version I told him I didn't want it as its not what we agreed on he said no 2nd face-lift for Europe these i30n will be the last. Maybe just trying to sell me a car.

That's quite possibly the case. Some dealers in the UK and Germany have been saying that the second facelift is coming, so there seems to be a lot of conflicting information going around.

The Hyundai dealers in general are terribly informed, they basically get told nothing and from my experience members of the public who follow the cars closely find out before the dealers.

All sorts of shit is going down right now in the world, there is a possibility it doesn't even make it to production or it has production limited to just a couple of countries like Australia where its been a huge seller.

Probably not even going to know a thing until 2024.

You realize that all solid early info we get is from (contacts in) dealerships… right? As if “members of the public” have access to Hyundai's plans or their marketing strategy…

These pictures are from official Hyundai press Konference. you can Download it on the german Hyundai Website. So i dont think it will be canceled when the Emission Problems are better than everyone thought month before
