How To: Remote Windows

Sorry - no idea. If you have a smart fob, this is where you control it.
I have the classic key but to remotely open and close the car works just like the "smart" one.

It's worth asking - what needs to be changed is in the car's software. Can you close the windows when you hold the lock button?
No, i'll ask to enable it next time i go for service i guess.

It works for closing the windows, i'll still ask to enable the opening feature.

Carmanscan but Launch will also do it.

I have been looking at the Launch Diagnostic scanners but I can't find a model which does the opening and closing the windows, please could you tell me which model does the window operation. Thanks.

Do you think this could be enabled on models without the "Functions packet" (standard key fob, no start stop push button)?
It's can be enabled, in body module.

You can enable the windows down too with GDS! At the Body module. My car is coded last week.

Yes, but you can enable with Launch or other diagnostic too. Because it's an individualise option, not so fully OEM specific thing.

I activated myself.
I've got a launch x431v+ Pro and I can't see that option,at the moment my launch only covers the 2018 I30N, my car is a 2019 model.,but those functions should be the same, can you please check your launch and tell me where those options are?

I have a UK MY2018 i30N and had the remote window opening enabled by the dealer. I am now wondering whether this is going to be a problem with the UK alarm, i.e. how integrated is the alarm with the other vehicle functions?

During this hot weather (23°C for our Australian viewers ;)) I have been using the fob to unlock the car and lower the windows 6". But .... if I don't open a door then the car auto locks itself after a few seconds. Is that setting the alarm as well? If so then I could have problems with wind blowing through the car and triggering the alarm. Anyone have any experience of this issue, or know that it won't happen?

Was at my local dealer. Apparently the Remote Windows Open feature is no longer available on newer models of the N? Remote windows close however can still be set.

He showed me the options on the tablet. Only closing was an option, opening wasn't...

I had to air my car out the other night (don’t ask!). I remotely put down the windows from my living room about half way then locked the car. It was a windy evening and the alarm didn’t go off once (if it wasn’t indeed ‘armed’) Left it like that for around an hour or so....

I presume that this feature can be activated on the 2018 Australian version? As I have the windows up all ready, just would like the windows down.

I can confirm this, too.
Was at the dealer today, too, and the window down option was not available (2019 Fastback N). :(

I think you need to be investigate this i think. Hyundai Hungary say to me this too. Not avalivable. Than two service shops say this too. I go to the third, and see with my eyes it's can be enabled. I think you should be need find a shop with GDS to see with you eyes, i think Hyundai not change this function with a half year version what is have this function. It can be find at conding parameters on the Chassis Unit.

Well, they used a diagnostic tablet when I was there yesterday.
But I'm not 100% sure it was the tablet mentioned in the opening post of this thread.
They opened up the mentioned menu and the "window down" option was missing.
The menu looked like the one in the first post's screenshots.

So Bu11eT may be right - perhaps it's depending on the GDS tablet's hardware/software (firmware) version if the option is available or not.
