I just install the DS2500 on my I30 N to replace the old OEM set. The difference is so huge. The brake pedal feeling is better and it brakes harder when it's cold or hot. Very happy about them I will test them soon on a track

Anyone (especially from the US) knows if HAWK has any ceramic pads for the i30N ?
Being a US-based company, I don't expect to see for the i30N but I couldn't find for the VN either.

I only found for the older Veloster Turbo but again, I'm getting old and my search skills are deteriorating along with many other skills

Finally found brake pads for my N!
Since I refuse to pay 900 Euro for OEM pads, I got Brembo pads (front and rear). They cost me a total of 140 Euro

Took me a long time to find pads since for some reason my VIN isn't recognised by any parts software/vin decoder. Thankfully @NULLOBANDITO shared his a while back so I used it and was able to find pads.

Will be installing them next week. I hope they are at least decent (and quiet). Here are pictures of the boxes so people here can find them easier if they have similar issues to mine.

Loads of companies seen to be making the brake pads but not do many making i30N discs!
Anyone else notice this?
Not that I care, coz I'm still banned from driving and the car sits in the garage until December.
The only work I'll be doing on the brakes is making sure they don't seize up.

I ordered EBC yellowstuff for daily drive, and Pagid RSL29 for track, now I'm waiting to arrive Tarox front disk F2000 for track

Prices vary a bit around Europe but they are always crazy expensive. Dealers make decent discounts but not enough to justify them. The OEM pads are good but not that good

Mine lasted about 30k km which is decent.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, my dealer have told me that my front pads have 25% remaining. That's less than 7000 miles and two track days.
If you end up enjoying these cars too much and do more than a few track days in a year, you braking components bills could end up being in the £1000s .

Yellowstuff EBC - DP42344R (Front or Rear) les than 200€
EBC disc - D2201

I bought a pack of DP42343R+D2201 at 278 €

A my dealer in France, I would like to give 1000€ for front disc and 500€ for the front pads. Just crazy !

What about noise though of the Ferodo ds2500?
I am thinking of having zimmermann sport coat z discs with Ferodo ds2500 pads

Really not a lot noise as I kept the metal plate between the pad and the piston. The noise appear when they are hot and it is the same as other street cars. But so much feeling on cold and hot conditions.

I went at the Nurburgring many times and on track also and I think it's enough (DS2500 + OEM disc). I will only mount EBC brake hoses and high performance brake fluid.

fair few now. I mean pumaspeed have released them recently and look decent and not expensive. OEM discs are not expensive tbh
