Not worried about the airflow, worried about something not getting air that should be. Sensors and whatever else.
Finally got my airpipe and turbo intake in the mail...but I think there is a problem.
The flanges on the airpipe aren't bored out! See pictures
I know other people on this site have purchased the airpipe thru Gruppenzwang. Was your airpipe the same? Do I have a problem?
My neighbor owns a metalworking business so If I have to bore out the elbow myself no big deal. I can't believe it wouldn't come to me finished...WTF!

This is a good thing!! At least he's acknowledging the issue up front and taking a positive step to correct it.![]()

Follow up...Mr. Venner from Gruppenzwang called me. (He has a spy in the forum)
Anyway, a new (completed) airpipe is being sent to me tomorrow.
Although my experience with them was a nightmare, the guy does exceptional work. Materials for the pipe and hoses are as good as can be found and his welds are beautiful. As soon as install the parts I'll upload a pic. I expect I'll be pleased in the end. I just want this to be over.
Sorry if I’ve missed it but I’m contemplating the pipercross intake for my I30n. Does it require a tune after?
Hiya guys i ordered a pipercross filter and fitted it, i dont seem 2 be getting the louder turbo flutter when driving i can hear filter sound dragging the air in and car sounds slightly different but doesnt seem to be getting the flutter after i have fitted it and refitted to see if fit ment was out and not getting suction etc but is it me etc sorry to sound stupied guys the fitment etc r crap haha anybody help me probs laugh at me but help me
Okay mate thank you very much sorry sound stupied, yeah the fitment r terrible ill admitYou won't get flutter with just an airfilter? You'll need an open induction kit for that.
You can run with the airbox lid of for an extra sneezy sound if that floats your boat. (I wouldn't though as the lid helps locate the filter. Pipercross isn't an amazing fit to start with).
What you're hearing isn't turbo flutter anyway. It's simply the operation of the diverter. Turbo flutter is something entirely different.Hiya guys i ordered a pipercross filter and fitted it, i don't seem 2 be getting the louder turbo flutter when driving i can hear filter sound dragging the air in and car sounds slightly different but doesn't seem to be getting the flutter after i have fitted it and refitted to see if fit ment was out and not getting suction etc but is it me etc sorry to sound stupid guys the fitment etc r crap haha anybody help me probs laugh at me but help me
You happy with the replacement then? I guess it was far superior quality? Finally got around to installing the turbo intake and airpipe. Sound is better, throttle response is better - only slight differences but noticeable nonetheless. I'm happy, and in compliance with TÜV, so the Germans are happy too. I also have a Pipercross (dry) filter.
If anyone is thinking of replacing their turbo inlet adapter to a larger one...have a shop do it if you're unsure about replacing motor parts. I know what I am doing and had a heck of a time. It's such a tight space!
