Can anyone confirm if the premium spec has wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?

I know it has wireless charging, but do we still need a cable to connect our phone in 2021?

Dealer recently gave me an update earlier in the week that my car has now got a VIN, is now in production and due for delivery 4/Aug. Suppose it seems a little more plausible now.

I'm in Sydney.

For any Aussies waiting for an update on the FL.... The vessel carrying the first shipment will dock in Singapore around the 20th of May. It has not filled any further route yet, but it would only stand to reason it will then head to Perth, as it appears to be a regular shipping route.

If, and this is only an educated guess, I would suggest Melbourne around the middle of June!

It's funny, in the past three days, since I was told the ship was on its way, I have sighted the two other local N's driving around town.... they are taunting me.

Yes, your build one can assume is from the second shipment. Not too long of a wait.

Yes u need a cable in all specs. That makes the wireless charging kind of useless. Well at least the co driver might benefit

There is wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Although there have been some murmurs of current licensing issues with Google Maps, so that may throw a spanner in the works - for the interim at least.

Does anyone have any photos of the cloth seats in the 2021 facelifts? Every photo is of the leather and suede premium seats or the n light seats, but none yet of the cloth. Whilst the cheapest, they certainly seem like the best for longevity.

Also, can anyone comment on how the previous gens leather vs cloth seats compared in terms of bolstering, or is the only difference the materials used?

Thats exactly what im looking for. I think its now the same seats as comfort package only with cloth instead leather/Alcantara and no Electronic adjustment.

All i found out is that the cloth seats weight 6Kg less for each, so 12kg combined. Thats even lighter than the bucket seats.

I only found one picture so far and they Look way better than the prefacelift cloth. I will search it and post later.

Android Auto definately doesnt work without a cable. I tried and didnt get it to work. I dont have an iPhone to test car play
I read some where the other day, that the car is fitted with the hardware to allow wireless, but there is currently a licencing issue between Hyundai and ??, that is preventing the wireless being activated. Unfortunately, I can't recall where I saw it. I will post back, if I find it.

Can you even get cloth seats in facelift model? Previous had it in 250Hp models as standard but 275Hp models all came with leather seats. Now i don´t see any facelift 250Hp models and it´s between leather seats or bucket seats.

In germany leather is comfort package. Standard comes with cloth seats (but different from pre facelift). Thats a good thing as i prefer them i guess :)

Thats the only picture i have so far. Its identical seats just cloth instead of leather/alcantara

Quite a few UK dealers pricing the FL now on Autotrader. Just a shame they don't have any to test drive, as I wouldn't order without that first.
Leeds told me that you can order with a deposit and if you don't want to go ahead after you have the test drive (in May)they will refund the deposit. Whilst i'm keen to upgrade, at the moment the finance figures are way too high for me so will be waiting to see if there are any decent discounts to be had in future as I don't feel at present its value for money compared with the 2018 model.

I agree with you Howy. The prices they're quoting are for standard spec manual cars and, as I'd want a few options and DCT, the FL is looking overpriced at present.

I really love the I30N, but It seems the price has gone up a lot, the lowest budget they have given me is € 36.7k for manual performance without a roof (In Spain).

I remember the pre-facelift was € 32-33k the same version... (I know this one is going to be a bit faster, with better set up, sound and infotainment ... But even so, it seems like a considerable rise 😐)

I would not mind paying 36k or even 38k if it had 300hp, but it isn't in the league of (gti clubsport, cupra leon or type r yet) wich are close prices (HP/Money)

I really hope they drop in price ...

Facelift is completely in GTI Clubsport League. Pre Facelift wasnt i agree. But not far behind. And a Clubsport is 20% more expensive

I think I've discovered a small cosmetic fault in the first batch of cars (picky, I know, but we're enthusiasts): the N Light logo for the driver's seat appears to be faded or improperly printed. The black and red stripes either side of the "N" look washed out.

I've seen this across three different cars listed in Poland and Switzerland now (blue, white and black cars), from different angles and in different lighting conditions. I've attached examples of both the driver and passenger seats for comparison.

Hoping it doesn't carry over to the first Australian builds!

Pictures of sport seats taken today at my local dealer's. No sign of any fault. I'm assuming those pictures that you got to, Hayden, show the factory film.

Has anyone come across the 2021 owner's manual yet, or know where I could find it online? Would love to download early and read. Preferably in English. :p
