Wheels N-cars Rims Database

Wow! Never heard of those rims before. They are exactly my kind of style and weight!! Never haye any chance to drive them in Germany legally with approval by TüV😥
Are they forged or casted? Great tyre choice, too. Could be my next when the PS4S are worn out. Perhaps 2022😄
Get the Eibach 10-15mm and your setup is perfect!

A note of caution to everyone looking for Motec Ultralights. Got them in 19x8.5 matt bronze - looks stunning.
Not too excited when I had to get the tires fitted - two rims were fine, two needed 140g and 105g of wheel weights. The rims thrmselves are true, the tires got rotated 180 degrees just to confirm the weight spot stays in the same place on the rim.
Honestly this is something I'd expect from some knock-offs, not a flow forged quality rim...

Thank you :)
I feel sorry for all those nice parts you cant use due to TUV :(
The wheels are cast wheels but they use a special technique called AMF. Wich sounds like wizardry to me. Anyhow, you can't go wrong with wheels made out of Japanesium ;)

Me, too😁
But I'm satisfied with the 18" Motec Ultralights anyway, which come in 8,2kg. The only lighter ones with TüV are the OZ Alleggerita. They weigh 8,0kg and and the price is 2000€ instead of 850€ for my Motecs.

Is anyone running light-weights on the stock 19" dimensions (8.0J x19 235/35R19 91Y)? I've been scanning through the thread and I don't believe I've seen anyone running these dimensions for the 19" and I'm curious if there was any particular reason?

Hey guys,

So, I'm into two years of ownership of my N and, I still love it! Compared to where I came from with a "character filled" 2015 Renault Clio RS Cup Premium, the N is night and day better. But, I've got one thing on my mind now, and that's changing out the wheels to some new lightweight items. Now, this is where I enter the void on differing opinions and "facts" on the forum. I thought I'd ask if there is a definitive direction from Hyundai (as I know that there are a few official reps on this platform.)
Now, finding a 19x8 +55 rim aftermarket is near on impossible. I do want to stick with the 19" size, I have a new (less than 8k km) set of PS4S which are brilliant and wearing really evenly compared to the P Zeros. I've found a few designs I like, however they're all 19x8 +45. Which is where the topic around scrub radius and warranty voiding comes into play. Is this definitely the case? I've read that adjusting the scrub radius on these cars by way of wheel change is frowned upon, and yet other threads where people are purchasing cars from dealers with aftermarket wheels fitted? I'm somewhat hopeful that there is an offical picture here that can be shared, just so I'm 100% sure I'm not "upsetting the apple cart" by changing wheels over. Now, if I talk to a wheel shop, they tell me "it's no problems at all, we do this all the time" but I guess they're not the point of contact on and warranty claims (void or not.)

So, hopefully I'm not upsetting too many people in asking this question. As mentioned, I have searched, but unfortunately the info I have found contradicts information also found here.

Cheers guys!

Daniel

from all my research ive been doing lately, it really depends where you are from and on your local dealer, NZ says that even changing the tires can void warranty, however in america you can do quite a bit to the car.

In australia tyres are not a problem unless you go slicks. the law requires hyundai to prove modification could damage the parts that they are saying are not covered due to a change. - also its heavily dependent on your local hyundai.. but in general hyundai in australia are doing a lot to avoid any conflict with warranties.

19x8 +45 fit, i slapped a 10mm spacer on the stock wheel to see what the fitment is like and it fits ok.. its fairly agressive compared with +55 the scrub radius isnt as massively important, however if you do move away from it torque steer can increase.

also if you have the budget theres a couple places that can make you any size wheel with offset you could possibly want.

Do you need to change the PCD on those or are they correct straight from the WRX?

all you need to do is the centre bore, which was 100 bucks aud. i even used the standard i30n wheel nuts.

EDIT - sorry, just checked the receipt the centre boring for all 4 was $250 aud

These are for track use only? I have the AR-1 in 235/40R18 and as much as i love the way they look, the noise they make is mental.
