@Felix : The actual problem is that the police might stop you, see your replacement air intake and claim that its illegal. Without any kind of papers youre going to have a hard time proving to them that it is not (although its actually their duty to proove that its illegal and not vice versa). Even if in the end an expert tells them that everything is fine, you had all the hassle of either having your car towed or of driving to the police/TÜV for further investigations.

I see that now, it's because the N Veloster fits the i30N but us in the UK don't have the 2.0 Veloster it's not listed for the i30N yet, price is ridiculous btw

Thanks for your reply. Do you have any experience in getting all the paperwork for the TÜV etc. done (or a link for a good read or something)?
 
There is no way any TÜV expert will put an air intake (or other TÜV relevant parts) into your registration papers without proper certification from the manufacturer and even if you'd find someone who does it would turn up as invalid on a closer look. If you're talking about making the respective TÜV certifications for that air intake yourself, I'd say forget about it. You'd need at least an "Abgasgutachten" which on its own will cost several thousand euros.
 
Yes, mine has been postponed also. I called them yesterday.

The issues is they're supplying Hyundai N-Performance as well. I don't subscribe to prioritising customers but Hyundai N-Performance visited aFe Takeda in the beginning and requested they make an improved factory intake.

aFe Takeda has some problems with their VN/PP and i30N exhaust, which their going to have to address as well.

If things are like this, I will ask my money back and make them also some „addvertisement” in FB and Instagram. I don’t care about N-Performance - if you see that you will be not able to produce something, you will not take any orders. And if people paid you money, it is your duty to keep them informed not oppsite :( I am sad that there are still that kind of companies around.

I agree, it's the same here in the US. It only takes one blanket email to everyone too solve such issues. However, they've neglect even the smallest courtesy of customer service available to them.

Fact of the matter is, there are @TamoT and unfortunately, aFe Takeda aren't the only ones; https://n-cars.net/forums/threads/this-is-hobb.3027/page-21#post-77517. On top of that, I don't do Farcebook or Instagram. So posting their occasional update doesn't do me any good, nor others like me.

This ^ is why I don't normally do pre-orders.

I'm ok with the aFe Takeda's delay at the moment but in another month, not so much! There are other small businesses who peddle their products. I purchased the aFe Takeda Intake from SC Garage for the price I wanted to pay, not what they charge on their website. So aFe Takeda's delay in providing the product, is a problem for other businesses as well.

I've been given every excuse stemming from; "N-Performance getting theirs first, to the COVID-19 virus, slowing things down." Frankly it isn't my problem, it's aFe Takeda's and don't attempt to make it mine.:rolleyes:

They gotten the goodwill, trust and money upfront, from every pre-order customer. Right now, we got; nada, bupkis, zilch, zero, nothing...........:).

Wow sorry, it looks like I'm complaining!:eek: In actuality, I'm just attempting to point out the situation at this particular time.:)

Any infos about Afe Takeda ? I don't see anymore information that this product is pre order or available from end of february.
Looks like it is in the stock ?
