i30 N 2021 i30 N

just thinking of how (im)possible it would be to get that central screen retrofitted. can't stand those bezels and this one looks better(all matter of personal preference of course)

This looks like the Santa Fe’s instrument cluster

This is not the same digital cluster that's utilized in the new Sonata. V

I believe the digital dash will be more inline with the Sonata, then the Santa Fe. Hyundai has actually added the digital dash to 4 or 5 different models. Each one is rather distinctive and different from one to another.

Damn, I dislike the all-digital speedos.

Nothing beats a physical (analog) speedo- and tachometer.

That Santa Fe cluster is a disaster o_O. OK, its a SUV and the speedo takes centre. The distorted tacho, fuel and temp gauges look terrible. Obviously this is the diesel, since the redline is 4500.

The Sonatas dashboard is more along the lines of what’s in the palisade. It may even be the same unit since they both share a lot of the same features like blind spot monitoring and highway drive assist etc. But the Santa Fe’s dash is a total mess with a combination of analog tach and digital center and if you look close enough at the spy shot you’ll notice it has a physical Tach on the left hand side similiar to the SF.

Did anyone see this? 2021 coming at 280hp and DCT?

2.0 TGDi 280 hp 6 MT / 8 DCT
Nice find! New rear bumper and lights...let's see how they go with that.

Early reports indicated a possible 20kw+ increase in power but now only ~7kw?
If Hyundai are fitting a larger turbo then you would expect more than this?

Maybe they are under rating the real increase.

I would assume they would increase the power somewhat, to keep up the «silly» competition to be marginally better than the competition and to satisfy the reviewers and buyers who want to have something that is «better» than last model.

Don’t expect any real life noticable performance increase (then you need to go DSG, but what is the fun in that?) ;)

IMHO, the new i30N will probably be slightly faster, more refined, more boring and less «raw» that on their first try. I am afraid the bean counters will take over more and more, after the N-concept is proven to be successful. Hope I am wrong.

If you want a great driving experience and a bargain, I would go for the first version i30N. But I am old fashioned and likes an N-gaging car .

Although this is only the N line, I'd assume most of the gadgets and styling would be the same if not similar to the N performance face lift! Digital Instrument cluster looks quite nice!

*Edit* I watched til the end and saw a close up of Digital Dash - It's horrific. I'm not a fan of the infotainment either, especially the touch screen buttons along the bottom! Prefer some physical analog engagement.

Apart from the horrible digital dash, ELECTRONIC HANDBRAKE o_O. This is true of the current N-Line in Oz on the auto version. The manual version has a mechanical handbrake, but misses out on virtually every safety feature.

FRONT:
- Wider/more pinched grille/lights. (trying to hard?...)

- Extra lights removed (like those small lights)

- Day time running lights more modern (not sure if cooler, though...)

-Waffle galore on the front (much nicer on todays i30N).

REAR:
- The rear has been messed up (lifting the black plastic upwards and the longer (and reversed) stripe.

- «Diffuser» changed/wider (looks cheap and off somehow).

INTERIOR:
- Door on the storage compartment under the climate vents (this is great)

- Upgraded entertainment system with bigger screen (looks good, even if current screen is big enough).

- Mostly digital instrument cluster (current hybrid analog/digital is much nicer, IMHO)

- Digital handbrake (not my choice)

All in all, pretty disappointed with the facelift, if the N-line is any indication what to expect for the i30N.

If I was in the marked for a i30N, I would pickup the 2019 version for a much better price, when 2020 is released.
