wearelikewise shift knobs for i30N?

Little update, since I needed a few things from LikeWise again I also ordered a new 12mm adapter.
Still fits the old shifter, but is a bit longer and the mounting mechanism is a bit thicker, so it won't fit into the shift-boot anymore. Pics:
Still installed since I had no problems getting it to fit with the reverse-lockout and because it's got a higher clamping force.

there is a guy from Germany who does these custom shiftknobs: i30 N - WoLf's Gengar | Hyundai N-cars i30 N, i20 N, Veloster N, Kona N, Tuscon N Owners Club and Forum - N-cars.netShame that these guys don't have an adaptor sorted yet for the car at all. Messaged them because I'm keen on one but not keen on jerry-rigging up a solution or cutting and they said they have nothing in the works at the moment. Sad
Hello everyone, I am a I30n owner from Hong Kong. I have a information here that I would like to share with you all.
That’s a Likewise the Daytona, M20*1.5 50mm screw, M20*1.5 26mm screw connector and the euro 12mm adapter.
This combination can avoid damaging its own accessories and successfully enter reverse gear.

Today i recieved my Shiftknob Adapter from TGWorks which works Perfectly without cutting or Damaging anything.
Link to the Adapter (look that you select only the adapter if you are not interested in theier shiftknob too)
Just replace the OEM one and slip this one on.
It has a M12x1,5mm thread which should work for most shifters/adapters.
And The revers still works Perfectly.
The only downside i see is that it's made of PA11 Plastic, so you should be a little bit carefull by tighten your knobs or you will just cut the thread down.
As you can see there is a little space left between the reverse lock and my Thicc Boi.
So thats where im now looking for someone who can create me a cover that i can Slip on (just like the ones Likewise creates for the Ford Adapters) so that this space is a little bit more covered but still possible to pull up the reverse lock)

I've also bought this one but noticed movement coming from the plastic adapter flexing so I took it back out.
For me i didn't notice any moving, did you youse the OEM-Clip to secure the adapter?
Yeah I did. Though I've got the Daytona so that may put quite a bit more load and flex on the adapter itself.

Long time N-owner, first time poster here. I drive an i30N Performance lux Hatch MY20
I've been longing for that certified wearelikewise feel in my hands when changing gears, but knowing full well that they don't make an adaptor to suit the i30N...and from some instagram message exchanges...the wearelikewise team have stated that Hyundai are a nightmare platform to develop on...I wasn't going to let that stop me.
So I finally buckled and bought a Daytona Pro, and 12mm Clamp Adapter Plus for my car, knowing I would have to work on some sort of mounting solution to get around the reverse lockout issue mentioned earlier in this thread.
The solution seems simple enough, make a 12mm shaft adaptor that clamps onto the existing shifter stick (either clamp or grub screw?) small enough to fit inside the plastic reverse lockout.

So all you need is to find a mate with a lathe...a lathe yourself...or a machine shop willing to do a very small job.
If your car's shifter meets the same requirements as mine did, you're in business.
Details of my shifter, to make sure if yours matches or not: <<Pic of mine>>
- Shaft (with knob removed) Ø12mm with 2x machined flats in it
- approx 20mm of shaft exposed above the reverse lockout (with knob removed)
- reverse lockout (plastic part) ID Ø22mm ish (important as the lockout will go around this adaptor, but will hit the shift knob/12mm clamp adaptor)
Items needed:
- wearelikewise shift knob of your choise
- wearelikewise 12mm clamp adapter plus
- 1.5mm allen key (comes with the clamp adapter)
- 1x pc of material (stainless, carbon steel or aluminium) Min Ø22mm OD x 70mm long at raw size
- 2x M4 x 5mm grub screws
- 2mm Hex allen key
- Blue loctite (for the shaft adaptor and for the grub screws)
Rough drawing provided, I had issues with the clamp adaptor slipping on the 12mm shaft of my adaptor, so I used a dremel to rough it up a little and a drop of blue loctite on the shaft before I carefully tightened the clamping screws
You could try and replicate the clamping setup that wearelikewise has done, but that requires a bit more advanced machining of socket head cap screw holes and the split for the clamp etc...and it still has to fit inside the reverse lockout!

hey guys there's a company that is currently taking pre-orders for their adapter to perfectly fit i30n and has no problems with the lockout.

As much as we want to sell you all a shifter, please stop buying the Euro Adapter or Clamp Adapter. It's a very ugly solution which is not supported by us. We are developing an RLX lockout for the i30N and aim for it to launch in late 2023. It's taken a long time because the i30N shifter assembly is an absolute nightmare to make an adapter for. Hyundai are by far the worst to make adapters for which is why we've never supported the platform. In any case, we are working on fixing this but it's going to take some time. Thanks for making it so easy Hyundai
