i30 N 2021 i30 N

Hey Fellows,

I was just able to drive the DCT hatch.
I was pretty sure I would get the manual. Now I am actually tending for the DCT.
Pretty much the best DCT i've been driving so far. Absolutely way better than the VW DCT in my opinion.
It responds very fast and switches gears quite smoothly.
I like the facelift way better than the pre facelift.
The only thing i am still concerned about is the longevity of the dct, as i am driving a lot through cities as well.

Here are some pics. The performance blue comes out really nice (was never a fan of the colour before).

Wow wasnt a fan of PB on prefacelift. Now i would consider this color. Really hard to chose the best for me.

For me i guess (but really close all 3)

#1 Sunset Red
#2 Shadow Grey
#3 Performance Blue

One dealer in Berlin told me that cars will arrive from Monday and another told me they don't know when the Cars will arrive. Same branch...

Excitement is high, still frustrating to not know exactly what we have bought. In Australia we are all still going off an allegedly leaked internal bulletin from last year outlining specs and features at each trim level. From all Hyundai Australia have announced we could be getting anything. I’ve ordered the base model and don’t even know what the seats will look like

I have no clue why you are no longer able to track it in other apps, maybe to many requests... Thanks for the app info.

👊

I believe most of the free apps/websites only offer coastal tracking for free, and you have to pay a few bucks for satellite tracking. No idea why you'd pay when this app offers it for free, though!

Exactly the same feeling over here. I'm excited, but it's also tempered by uncertainty. I have a bad feeling that the price is going to be awful, since Hyundai is taking so long to announce it.

I'm downright obsessed with this car and have wanted it with the DCT for years, but I also cannot justify spending more than AUD$60K on a FWD hatchback (which is what VW is asking for their new Golf GTI - praying Hyundai do not take inspiration).

I can't see the justification for anything over $55K for the DCT Lux with sunroof. The only real cost over the old model are the new pews and wheels. I was told by my dealer, how spoke directly to and unnamed source at Hyundai'(whilst I was in the room) to expect between $2- $3k increase over the outgoing model, that puts it around the before mentioned drive away price without discounts.

🤪 If Hyundai attempt to price it closer to the Golf GTI, they will have effectively pushed buyers to another brand. My thoughts are an increase of $5K for the DCT, it's not like they designed and built the auto cog changer specifically for the i30N or Veloster N, that includes the pews and wheels!

I wont pay more than the stated amount, it's just not worth more. I would rather buy the i30 N-Line and save the $ for investments or other such value adding activities.

It's a case of sit back and wait, we will have all our questions answered soon.

Well said Xcelr8. I agree that Hyundai are in danger of shooting themselves in the foot with overpricing the i30N. If I can't secure a standard model (no options) for £2-£3k less than a GTi I will be driving a VW. I'm talking about the final price paid, not the headline price of course.

Thanks.

For reference I refer to AUD cost.

Ever sat in a Golf 8? I doubt it, otherwise you would speak differently 😉
