Racechip Development for the i20N

I’m not sure I’d trust one of these things on my car? a proper remap would be much better, I’m getting a Revo stage one map and air intake in a few weeks, takes it up to around 245hp/350nm..

Waiting waiting waiting to be released ... Since I have quite a long list of items to order aside racechip GTS from Germany and drive the car to Greece Athens so the team there to install :)

JB4 is a generic unit for several models. It’s not a new unit and they’re simply testing the unit to see if it works on this particular engine. There is no equivalent to the I20N engine in the USA. 👍🇺🇸

How can there be high demand for a product they haven't developed yet? Or do they mean the racechip hardware?
In any case, selling out of hardware shouldn't impact the software development for the i20n.

Just more excuses from them 🤷‍♂️

I think either the are not ready with the sw or they don't have harness and or boards for their boxes, due to shortages on IT equipment in general. Same reply I have received from CPA Tuning, they replied that cable harness will be ready around end of year ...

They say something about February ...
Unfortunately he said February next year and it was released two days ago. I sure hope that doesn't mean 2023 and they just recorded this in 2021

Edit: if I bothered to read the comments (brave idea for YouTube...) it was shot in 2021 so yeah hopeful on Feb 2022

Good afternoon,

I am the owner in Italy of a i20 N Black Phantom and I follow the forum with pleasure.
I wrote to Racechip in Germany to get updates on the availability of the Black GTS module and received this response:

Thank you for contacting the RaceChip Customer Service.

Unfortunately we do not offer any chiptuning yet for the Hyundai I20N. However, we are constantly expanding our model range and will gladly inform you by e-mail as soon as a RaceChip is available for your Hyundai I20N.

The development process can in sum take a few months before a RaceChip is released to assure you maximum performance and a safe drive. We appreciate your understanding since we cannot provide an estimated release date.

Should you require any more information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. You may simply reply to this message and a member of our team will get back to you.

RaceChip Customer Service

Reading the various posts, I had understood that in 2022 it would be available: do you have any other information?
Thank you, ciao
