Also, as I seem to be incapable of resisting the urge to change stuff I’ve completely redone the beading on the boot lid. The N badge is now a smaller one than previously and closer in size to the stock one. I’ve refinished it in a lightly textured satin black and made custom red inlays. The 300 has been resized to match the new size badge and the Nurburgring logo has been moved over to the Hyundai Performance text (which has also been moved and resized). For now……. I’m happy

- weather permitting, on Friday, I‘m going to have a go at fitting the Forge ‘turbo muffler delete’ pipe I got the other day… wish me luck

And yeah, not sure what the relevance is with the autotrader advert on here. A lot of dealers reuse adverts from previous listings (also the fact they've relisted at £19,999 so it was probably that: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202608295550532?).
I think you might have a bit of sellers remorse if you're spotting bargains as soon as they're listed on AT!

goobyN yes, I agree, but the whole car ownership thing is a funny and complex situation. Any car is a huge expenditure and yet they plummet in value unless you have spent millions and bought something very limited (even then such cars aren’t immune from depreciation). Modifying you car makes it more your own but reduces its value even more. Personally, I’m under no illusions and have done all the mods to my car just for my own enjoyment and for the learning experience of what they really do (as opposed to what people on the Internet say they do). If I keep my car in a bubble for the next twenty years it possibly will go up in value (perhaps quite a lot) but less so now I have modified the hell out of it - the market loves old cars but they have to be factory fresh with very low mileage - so not my car! The mileage is pretty low on mine, but certainly not delivery and it’s far from ‘factory fresh’. If one wanted a car like this that would be an investment then you likely need to have bought a Mk1 Yaris GR and then put it immediately into storage for twenty years.
