Saturday was really funny day. I went shopping and left my car for a while.
In the evening I took my dash cam home for firmware update and saw few videos after parking my car. My garmin 55 is connected to main car battery and has movement detection. I saw lot of people stop in front of my car to take a look on it.
I never saw something like this before.
Happy and proud :D

Why are you devo'd? Plenty of torque there. Were you were satisfied with the performance before you saw the numbers?
 
Don´t take it too serious - V-tech is famous of their very conservative numbers and I am almost sure that they even didn´t spry water to your intercooler.
Go to Motocomp Trójmiasto and your car will pull out factory power ;)

I just thought that I will see about 270-278HP or something like this not 255.
Car is nice and quick but from beginning after puchase I started to buy better fuel, changed filter to pipercross and thought it will help some.
After dyno they show me another i30N - 265HP - totally stock but I don't know what fuel it used.
Another thing - I saw lots of dyno movies with big air fan in front of the car.
I didn't saw it on this dyno point. The only air fan was used after first test to cool the engine after opening hood before second attempt.
I told them to set N mode before test but they told me it is not too important because all modes depend only from pressing the gas pedal (something about pedal blocking - in sport or N mode you can press it to the floor in others not - ? ).
It was weird but before second test I set them N mode on steering wheel.
Sorry for my english I still have lack of technical words when we talk about cars.
 
It is one of the reasons why their dyno bench is know as a very conservative. They does not even try to create similar conditions than car has on normal road. Intake air temps are very high on their dyno and ECU of our cars will just back off power on high rpm-s.
Your graph looks like every other N has from factory - everything looks normal.
On what gear they made these dyno pulls?
 
I don't know on which gear was dyno. I didn't even hear pops and bangs when they changed gears and it was weird. They told me something like - it is hot. I was in other room behind the glass.
When they show me results of the other i30N they compare them and told me that my car was finished after 5700RPMs and the other N can get to 6500RPMs - in my case max power and flat line is in 5600-5700RPMs.
 
I'd go elsewhere. I mean if they didn't have a fan to cool the car and the ambient temp is 24 degrees that's hot!

Where I go in the uk he always every run. I would try another dyno elsewhere
 
Before the test on dyno I saw that my torque is really good - on car screen I saw almost 400 after few quick starts. I thought that I will see good power too, but nope....

Never trust the numbers on the board computer, they are not real! It's only an estimative view of how much torque/power/boost pressure you use.

For example, you have an turbo with flows at 1.5bar, the board computer only show 1.2 bar on onverboost...
 
I'm really impressed with those door N light.
After receiving my car from Hyundai today I checked them only with my hand under the doors.
I thought they are too weak and I was really angry.
After few hours - 1 hour after sunset I went to check them again - this time in the dark......

As you can see my car is parked on the grass but N lights are still really good visible.
I didn't have anything flat to lay under the doors to make them even more visible.
I will try another time to make better photos somewhere on the parking or road.
Last words - I really like this mod .:cool:
