Anybody noticed about a noise from the roof map lamp? The passenger side's lamp button is always take some noise. When i push for a little time go to silence, then came back.
i had the same noise. take your passenger lamp out, the small one (make up)
then go with your finger in the hole backwards. there inside is an insulation foam. mine was not anymore at his place. i just placed it correct and the noise is gone completely.

I have this exact noise, and from the exact same place. It sounds like the spring that pushes the map lamp cover back is too weak.

Im going to remove the cover and add a thin layer of fabric tape to the very edge, which should stop the noise.

The other option I thought would be to stretch the spring so that it exterts more force on the lamp cover.

It may sound trival, but that noise is soooooo annoying!

My rattle has now moved to above the rear offside passenger seat! Weird. I'll get some photos done of the fix when I do it.

Hi folks
My 'N' got hit by a stone … result a new windscreen.. Took it to Novus (they're the specialists in NZ) and they replaced it - the new screen creaked.. so they took it out and refitted it.. it still creaks going over bumps in the road, so off to Hyundai we go for a look... anyone else had this issue? As one of only a few in the whole country, there isn't much expertise yet!!! ;)

Tried desperately to apply your fix but neither me nor my friendo were able to remove wipers (probably got glued after I took it to a dealer last time). Since car is in for the gear fix, they also looked at the above problem and replaced the whole part. I hope that the problem doesn't come back anymore.

Funny bit though, I am currently in an i20 and I could clearly hear the same issue coming up at 500 miles. That screeching sound...

The wipers can be a pain to get off. It took me a few minutes of wiggeling and I was about to give up. Suddenly they came loose and popped off easily. I guess you need a bit off luck to get them off fast. I think it has something to do with the angle you apply your force on the wiper. It really is a tight fit...

Just did mine yesterday as I started to hear tapping noises when in N custom mode, the removal of the wipers was the hardest part. I used to be a mechanic for over 20 years and these wipers are the hardest to remove I have ever come across.
From my model helicopter flying days I had some really superb velcro made by a company called "align", I used the soft "eye" part of the velcro pieces, these are super sticky and I placed strips of 25x10mm on top of all the plastic wedges, it made the surround more difficult to push up onto the screen bur now there is total silence on even the roughest roads.
So thanks for all the descriptive write ups from other members, especially Padigree and Tom.
