Has anyone experienced this kind of ticking/rattle sound that follows the engine RPM?

Video recorded with driver's door open (but the ticking can also be heard even with the door closed):

Video from engine bay. With stereo headphones I can hear that it is louder on the right hand side of the engine when looked from front to back:

i30N year 2020.

I guess it could be injectors, timing chain, high pressure fuel pump, evap purge valve? Any ideas?
Note: Mechanic initially diagnosed the high pressure fuel pump as faulty. The HPFP was replaced and the sound did not change.

I have tried to find youtube videos with the same sound but so far there has only been one video where I can clearly hear the same distinct ticking sound.
There are so many videos where I cannot hear this ticking sound so it seems to be some kind of a developing issue.

Another mechanic will investigate this soon.

Current diagnosis: The clearance is too high on the exhaust valve that is closest to the right side of the engine (when watched front to back). This explains why the sound is loudest on that side. Something is worn/broken there.
