I plastidip the grille frame this Saturday, gave it 4 layers. Lets hope it doesn't come off that easily.

The spraywrap held on quite good in the beginning, but 1 treatment with a good pressure washer and a few bits started coming off. I just kept washing the car and it got worse. So I decided to do it properly. Didn't even have to disassemble the grille, the wrapper could do it while everything was mounted.

Oh, wheres the "How-To" guide then?? You uploading it later? :p;)
Didn't take any pictures during the process, sorry.
If you are not in a rush for anything, its relaxing to mask all of it and give it a good spray :)
Basically, as @Bu11eT said, doesn't even require to take the grille off, you can mask it pretty easily around due to its linear edges. As for the quality, well I'm kinda anxious for the next pressure washer session given I also did the wheels :rolleyes: Lets hope for the best

Wait, what? You did wheels too? I have a plastidip-happy mate trying to talk me into that as I'm always whinging about the diamond cut look and saying I wish they were all black. Don't suppose you can post pics? Pretty please :).

I have been waiting for some good weather to give him a good wash and take nice pictures to emphasize the black rims on white car, I hope it is this weekend, and then I'll share.
It looks great specially on the red calipers (always been a fan of black rims), however if I had to paint them again I would have gone "gloss" on the last 2 layers instead of plain matte to get that nice shine.
Y'll see how it fits on the diamond cut, but be kind when you see an imperfection or 2 (or 5), it was my first paint job :) but I did enjoy it very much.

That's what I was thinking too - are the back ones matt or shiny?
they are rather matt looking, I would say satin black matt. Here are a few pics I took prior to installation. Hope that helps.

Got my Forge short shifter mounted yesterday together with a mate. We decided to approach the gear linkage adjustment rather slow, so we only adjusted one cable and left the other one in stock configuration to observe the impact.

We also found out, that there seems to be quite a big tolerance in the stock gear linkage configuration which could result in the 6th gear issues reported in other threads. Just to give you an example: The stock gear linkage spacing of my mate's N was 1.3mm and mine was 1.1mm. For me, thats quite a big difference and it could be a cause for the issues others have reported as well.

Totally forgot to post this one as well (got it even before I had the ATH diffusor 🤫).

Got myself a front tow hook for track days and future photo shoots.
Got the adapter from a guy from Instagram and bought the red hook off of amazon.

That is unnecessary, the N won't go to the gravel

Not really about gravel though. If you track the car in the US and some other countries, it's a mandatory to get the vehicle off the track quickly.

It's required for the car because of the front and rear fascias. You can't lift the car in a slingwithout damaging them and makes pulling onto a flatbed ideal. There's an OEM unit in the boot.:)

Hey i have a question :D how's the velosa snorkel? :D Any noticable improvement?
no improvement at all tbh - but it also did not make things worse. The temps around here are still way too told to notice any kind of improvement. Ask me again in august when we have 35C around hereo_O

But to be honest, I am not really expecting big improvements - I bought it more for the looks

Yep, we also have a few trackdays here in and around Germany where this is mandatory. So it was a precaution for that aswell. But as you are not able to fit these legally when driving on the street, it has quite a limited use case.

Got myself some license plates with my Insta on it. Will be used for future shoots and meetups aswell.
Heard the guys from twistnfix are working on a new front grille without the plastic license plate block. Therefore I only got one of those plates for the back, as I will be able to remove the license plate from the front as soon as the new grille is in 🤯

Sorry to go off topic, but that rear diffuser and those exhaust tips make the arse of your car look so gloriously fat 🔥
