Brakes Brake Upgrade Discussion (Discs / Pads / ... )

Someone here using or used TAROX brake sets ?
I'm interested in those parts from https://www.at-rs.de/shop/ :
DISCS - TAROX F2000 : 2372-F2000 front + 2365-F2000 rear
PADS - TAROX CORSA : SP2372.114 front + SP2365.114 rear
I tried to found something with 345/314 but most of discs from the same manofacturer are 345/305 and drilled/flat.
Only Tarox, EBC and DBA discs can be found in the same size with the same structure (drilled, cut, half drilled) in front and rear.
I have their BBK, not had any issue so far - They come with a really strong disc and you will want the endurance pads if you’re planning on anything more than light track use (this also depends on your track’s braking)

If I remember good Tarox BBK have bespoke semi floating discs not normal ?

Yea, the semi floating bespoke system are very good.

I haven’t used the other is the regular one, but my friend has, he’s changed his rotors already - Equal number of Trackdays. You pay for what you get.

Ok - just ordered TAROX F2000 : 2372-F2000 + 2365-F2000 and pads FERODO DS2500 : FCP5099H + FCP5100H.
I will try brake fluid MOTUL RBF700 (now I'm using 660 without problems in the winter and summer).
The only problem is waiting time - 2/3 weeks.
My plan is to change the brakes in the end of may because I will have then my year car check service.

I remember while back on a thread seeing someone had posted a discount code to N cars forum for Godspeed brakes I'm finally replacing all my brakes this month. Was going to use the Godspeed G hook disks anyone know if anywhere offers discount on them or has a code for them?

Hi! One question, best front pads like OEM or better without noise? Probably ds2500? Options?
Regards!
I went with EBC Yellowstuff. Last much longer than OEM. A bit more dust, but rarely any noise. Not ideal for track use. Perfect for everyday and occasional spirited drive. Also great value (about 300 euro for all 4)

Thanks! And pads like "Blueprint", "hella pagid", "zimmermann" works like the OEM?
EBC Yellowstuff costs like 150€ and the ones i tell like 70-80€
I use it for everyday and some spirited drive. I dont want any track pads bc i only go like 1 time a year..

I don't have experience with any of those but have heard good things about Zimmermann as a brand. The Yellowstuff has lasted me 45k km so far and still have over 30% life left. Compared to the 30k km I got out of the OEM pads (which are 700-800 euro....) I'm quite happy with the price. Be careful not to get too "ordinary" pads as they can be cooked with even a single track day. I made that mistake with ordinary (non-performance) Brembo pads and I cooked them (became useless afterwards) in a single spirited mountain drive. Also make sure you change the OEM brake fluid as its shit. I use Motul RBF660 (with braided brake lines) but 600 would do as well as it's suitable for the rubber oem brake lines.

Omg, I do 62k km with the OEM hahaha. For the price of the brands I say, it's probably less durable than the OEM or the Yellowstuff. I take time to select the right one. I view some one telling the blue print works like oem but idk really
Thank you very much.

The OEM pads are quite good actually. If they weren't so expensive I would buy them again to be honest. I'm only speculating here but I suspect the Blueprint pads are much lower quality than the OEM pads. They will probably last longer if you don't do any hard breaking, but personally I'd want to know I can depend on them if necessary. They're insanely cheap so you can always change them if they suck I guess. Looking forward to hear which ones you choose and your experience with them :)

I have fitted AP Racing cp9040 with 362mm floating disc on my FL. Actually running ferodo DS3.12 front and DS2500 in the stock back caliper.

With the new setup it just brake amazing.
What is the exact code of those cp9040-........? there are many.... DId you need any adapters or was everything plug&play?

What do you think of the DS2500 vs the stock rear pad, which has better bite?

I tried the EBC Yellow and it disappointing compared to the stock pads.

There is only a cp9040 caliper, the rest of the identification is used for indicating the position of the caliper or the color. (https://apracing.com/performance-up...rged-family-suits-o362-x-32mm-168mm-thick-pad)

You need adapters to attach the caliper, also the rotor should be replaced for one meeting the caliper requirement. I bought the whole break kit in a specialiced

I think it is a good pad for the rear train.

Anyway the bite should be in the front train, for me is a winning combo with the DS3.12 in front.
